I felt honored to visit Melissa, a young nurse in Eudora, Kansas, who received a lovely canvas from her husband, Jason, for their 7th anniversary. What strong character and what a dedicated heart she has for her husband and family. It was a delight to visit her on behalf of Canvas on Demand on September 11th. In an email her husband sent me, he included this quote: Battles are won by the infantry, the armor, the military, and the air teams…by soldiers living in the rains and huddling in the snow. But wars are won by the great strength of a nation–the soldier and the civilian working together. General Omar Bradley
Thanks, Jason, for your courage and willingness to serve our country! And happy anniversary to you and your lovely wife. It was a joy and honor to meet her! Mom

Ever look at someone, whether they’re your own child or not,and feel a sense of Parental Pride? Well, I feel that way about Joe and Tom, the co-owners of Canvas on Demand. Joe is actually my son; Tom is actually

Dear Canvas on Demand,
Thank you so much for making this program (Operation Hi Honey) available to the troops!! After watching this video of the presentation of our canvas to my wife (I watched it several times) it left me wondering how I could have been so lucky to have a spouse, friend, and lover like my wife!!
I’m thrilled that she enjoyed the canvas as much as she did and happy that I was able to find this program!! Again, thank you for offering it to us! The support you extend to the troops is so greatly appreciated, especially at a time when public opinion on what we do is so low. I have passed on the information about this program to our First Sergeant who did include it in the monthly newsletter put out to our Troop. I know for a fact some of the other Warrior’s have, or plan to, take advantage of your show of support!!
So, in closing, you have my deepest thanks for doing what you do to support us!! Thank you so much for being a part of celebrating our Anniversary. It does mean a lot to me and won’t be forgotten!! The fact that my wife mentioned my thoughts about leaving the military many years ago, and that this canvas was presented on 9/11 are very ironic and symbolic!! For it was the events on that day that sealed my decision to stay in the military, knowing full well what it would mean to the future of my family and I!! One last great big THANK YOU to you and your staff for all that you do!! You are an amazing organization!!
With Regards,
SSG Jason
Great blog you got here. I’d like to read a bit more concerning that topic.
