William told us about photo…
This is a photo taken while I was on leave from Kuwait. We had both wanted to see the pyramids our entire lives. We finally got there and it was incredible. We don’t usually like doing cheezy tourist stuff, but we splurged on the camel rides, and it was so fun!

Here’s what William had to say about Jill…
We have been married for 10 years. Jilly is a registered nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She is loved and adored by her patients (who bring her flowers sometimes after they are discharged). We love watching the movie “Patch Adams.” I always say “Patch Adams” before I kiss her goodbye for work. It refers to making a difference to the veterans at the vets hospital. She has such a good interaction with her patients and a huge softspot for the WWII vets. She loves caring for the older veterans and sharing my stories with them. She says they like the stories. She also cares for our grandmother who lives near. She spends great amounts of money and time helping her go about her daily life, yet will never take a dime in return or even accept a thanks….She is duty bound. She loves horses and if she isn’t at the hospital, she is at the barn where we have our two horses. It is the thread of her life. She will spend hours brushing and talking to her horse. She is having a hard time with this deployment because I volunteered to be with this unit. She says that she can’t watch war movies because she has nightmares, and she just wants to live a normal life with me at home. I’ve been over seas many times and she really wants it to end so that we can be together. She’s a very tough woman on the exterior, and she takes a lot of pride in being a survivor. But I know her as a very fragile person inside. She has a great heart and a beautiful personality.
