This photo was taken the day of our wedding. we were tired of fake smiling for everyone’s cameras, so we ran off and someone found us and surprised us with this picture. I love this photo because this is the real us, not poses.

My wife is my high school sweetheart. She has been with me through all of my deployments and trainings, and continues to support me. This is our second of four anniversaries apart, and her fourth consecutive birthday I’ve missed. She put her life on hold to be with me, even when I’m not there with her.
