Woodhaven School is a Doing Good recipient – 1/30/2011

About the organization:

Woodhaven School offers children a holistic, Waldorf-inspired, nature-based education enlivened by music, singing, storytelling, art, movement, and gardening. Through our curriculum and philosophical approach, this educational method raises individuals who are, and will continue to be, engaged intellectually, emotionally and skillfully in their lives.
Donations will help sustain this rich experience our school provides, as well as launch a pioneer program in our community: an all-outdoor kindergarten beginning in the Fall of 2011 called Forest Friends, complete with an organic garden sown and harvested by our students. Forest kindergartens are an innovative learning option that we are proud to offer to children in the Portland area.
