My last post about Pfc. Brett Wood makes me want to remind readers of two very important Canvas on Demand initiatives.
The first is a program called Operation Hi Honey. It is our way of honoring and supporting our troops who are deployed overseas… and their spouses who are holding down the home front. Operation Hi Honey awards hundreds of our deployed men and women a free art canvas, printed from a favorite photo, which will be presented to their Honey on their anniversary. It’s a way for soldiers to say I love you… and it’s a way for Canvas on Demand to say to our troops, Thanks for a job well-done! Last year, our staff created hundreds of these canvases for our troops.
Here is an example of one soldier’s canvas which was sent to his wife on their anniversary. Here’s what Gordon wrote to accompany the canvas: “I had a fellow airman take this while I was standing on a ladder to surprise my wife. I am always thinking about her and hate being away from her and my family. Her strength helps make my important job easier while I am away from home.” (See the canvas at the end of this post.)
And the second project I want to remind you about is Canvas on Demand’s Doing Good program. Are you involved with a non-profit organization that is doing great work in your community? Or have you or someone you love been touched by such a group? Canvas on Demand wants to offer our support and encouragement by presenting them with a $100 Canvas on Demand gift certificate to be auctioned off at their next fundraiser. It’s just one way we can cheer on the good works of local non-profit organizations across America. Christine from an elementary school PTO just wrote us saying: “Thank you, thank you, thank you! We had a great Spring Festival and people were excited to participate! The auction was a great success due in part to Canvas on Demand!”
Keep these two Canvas on Demand projects in mind and pass them along to the people on your address list to help spread the word. Our staff often says that these efforts are the best part of their jobs. Mom

…
I’ve ordered over 40 canvas from Canvas On Demand and they’ve all been beautiful. Canvas On Demand has made it possible for me to work at a semi professional level by handling the printing end of my slowly burgeoning business beautifully. They handle all of the color management, tweaking and stretching in such a way that every canvas arrives beautifully stretched and chock full of amazingly vibrant color. Thanks for making me look good Canvas On Demand!
Tom and Joe:
I have been deployed to Afghanistan since Dec 2011. So far I have missed Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, my wedding anniversay and Mother’s Day. Being away from my wife and 4 children has been extremely difficult but I am just doing my job. Thank you for going above and beyond your call of duty to take care of the deployed military member and our families. Your operation hi honey! and hi mom! are an amazing quality gift greatly appreciated by all that receive it. Thank you and God bless.
Jorge

My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan with the United States Army and today I received my all time favorite picture of him and I on one of your canvases thanks to Operation Hi Mom! Hi Honey! What a wonderful program your company is offering our service members and their families. The quaility is amazing and the FedEx driver delivered it with such care. Your company has really helped brightened this deployment, the canvas came at a perfect time, just when things were starting to get harder due to the holidays I have something to smile about again.
