About the organization:

This tournament is given to honor the memory of Larry Yarbough II, a coach and special education teacher at North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, TX. On September 4, 2005, Coach Yarbough was the victim of a fatal car accident. A graduate of the Crowley ISD, Coach Yarbough was not only passionate about the game of basketball, but also about the children he taught and coached, and for life in general. To many, he was truly a mentor, friend, role model, and father figure. His death was a tragic loss not only to the Crowley ISD and the children, but to the entire community of North Crowley.
The Yarbough Family has set up a college scholarship fund in his memory to be given to a high school student who portrays characteristics in which Coach Yarbough lived. He believed that education was a critical part of an athlete’s career, and this scholarship will assist in fulfilling the dreams of higher education for a deserving student athlete.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in being part of such a wonderful scholarship program. Most of all, thank you for helping the Yarbough family assist the children of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.

THANKS FOR DOING GOOD! – Tom and Joe
