About the organization:

The Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, established in 1949, is a 100% volunteer, EMS organization that provides emergency medical services to the First Election District in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. We provide services to the communities of Scotland, Ridge, Dameron, St. James/Park Hall, Historic St. Mary’s City, St. Inigoes, Point Lookout State Park, and the NAS Patuxent River – Webster Field Annex located in St. Inigoes. The Squad provides mutual aid to our neighboring Squads located in Lexington Park, Valley Lee, Leonardtown, and Hollywood. The Squad protects approximately 7,100 permanent residents within 75 square miles of landmass.
