About the organization:
On September 8th, 2012 we will be hosting our Tenth Annual Sunshine House Corn Festival at Schopf’s Hilltop Dairy Farm here in Door County. The proceeds from the Corn Festival benefit Sunshine House Inc. and the individuals with disabilities that we serve. Sunshine House Inc. is a non profit organization that has been providing services for people with disabilities for over 41years. Training and employment opportunities are provided both at SHI and in the community through our work services. Work includes inspecting, labeling, bagging, packaging, sorting, mailing, cleaning and much more. Employment helps everyone to build a feeling of self worth in addition to the freedom that is provided by earning a paycheck. We also offer a Personal Care Program for individuals who require more one on one attention, an Activities Center, and a Computer Learning Lab. Our funding comes from the County, Contract Work, Fundraising and Donations.
