Today was my sister’s birthday. We spent a nostalgic dinner with family recalling days gone by. At the end of the meal, our cousin, Tony, handed my sister a beautifully wrapped gift. When she opened it, she began to cry. It was the 1950s era Zenith radio that sat for years on our Aunt Gertie’s buffet. It is a tube radio, and the rich wooden finish is just as perfect as the day she bought it. So it’s no wonder the following canvas that Canvas on Demand created for Isidro caused me to take notice.
The testimonial that was posted to our Customer Showcase says: “This is a photo a buddy of mine found and got tattooed on his arm. I thought it would be a great idea to get it put on canvas for him.
The company was great and really easy to work with. There were some problems with the first digital copy and sent them and they were really great when I called for help to fix it. Will do business with you guys again for sure.”
Ok then…that put me in a melancholy mood and I found myself totally taken with the canvas we made for April. “This picture was taken in Ventura Ca. The funny thing is I jumped out of the car snapped the pic with my phone and jumped back in the car. I thought it turned out wonderful. Canvas on Demand was wonderful and my picture is fantastic. I would definitely use them again.”
Gale’s wonderful image of her mother brought back memories of my own mom and my Aunt Gertie. Our family albums have numerous old black and white photos from the same time period and with similar clothes. Gale told us: “My mother just turned 90 and is in a nursing facility. The photo was of her as a young lady in wartime 1940. It thrilled all of us to see her as she was–beautiful and sassy! I am so very pleased with your attention to detail and personal sevice to make sure my old photo truly became a piece of art. The quick turnaround time is wonderful. Numerous people in the nursing facility have been “wow-ed” by this canvas. I have since ordered several more canvases and love them all. They are my newest favorite thing to gift.”
And my final post down memory lane is one of an old tavern sent to us by customer, Lynn. “This is picture of my Italian grandpa in his grocery store in Illinois in 1926. I contacted a local company and they said it would take weeks and weeks and weeks. Then I searched the internet and found a quality website with just the right words that I was looking for. You guys were able to print to canvas, able to touch up, restore, and frame. I scanned my pic and asked for help. Your suggestions were great. You guys emailed and called me back after my order was placed…with great suggestions. The 22″ X 24″ canvas turned out awesome and was sent to my doorstep in less than a week from the time I placed my order. It turned out better than I could have imagined. I’ll have more done soon and so will my friends.”
