Question About Texture from Eva

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Question from Eva:

I’m not sure what a canvas photo is. Can you tell me something about the texture  Thanks, Eva.

Answer from Joe:

Thanks for the great qustion, Eva.  At Canvas on Demand, we take favorite photos which our customers upload online to us, and we use them to create beautiful works of art on canvas.  The customer can choose to have it finished with or without a frame, select the size they want, and decide if they prefer the image to be exactly like the photo or to have the look of a brush-stroked painting.  We also can touch up older photos.  The texture is of high-quality canvas and is made to last many years.  We hear from customers every week who tell us their canvas will surely be a family heirloom.

A Thank You Note from Tracy

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Dear Tracy:  Notes like the one you sent us recently means so much to us here at Canvas on Demand.  It inspired everyone on our staff.  We are so pleased that we could participate! Thanks for taking the time to write to us.  Joe

Dear Canvas On Demand —

Once again you came through for us! Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our 2011 Silent Auction. The Silent Auction raised $1126 for our school. This is money that will go towards helping the students and teachers at South Hamilton Elementary in many ways. We hope that this Silent Auction will also benefit your business. We let the entire student body know who donated items, and we encouraged them to make these places ones that they will shop at regularly. We would love for you to partner with our school again sometime in the future. We could not have done with without you, so thank you again for helping us in this new endeavor.

Sincerely,

Tracy, on behalf of The Members of the South Hamilton PTA

So Many Choices

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Often customers tell us that we have so many choices that it’s actually hard for them to decide which choice is best for their particular image.  Well, I have two great suggestions.

First, visit our Customer Showcase where you can see over 4,000 real customer canvases.  You’ll be amazed at the creative things our customers come up with when ordering canvases.  You’ll also be inspired to dig out your boxes of photos and transform a favorite or two into an art canvas for a wall in your home or office.  Just click here…http://www.canvasondemand.com/showcase/.

Second, remember that you can always call our customer service department.  We are quite proud of our reps!  They are polite, knowledgeable, and really care about assuring that your order exceeds your expectations.  It’s a free service with a toll free number that we offer all our customers.  Joe

A Special Effect

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Question from Carilyn:  I have a picture of a baby and would like to get a canvas made of it.  Is there anyway I could get it in black and white but keep the hat in color? I have seen this done in other pictures but do not know how to do it. Thanks!

Answer from Tom:  Carilyn, thanks for the great question about that special effect.  We would love to take a look at your photo and talk to you about your idea, because it certainly is possible.  Our goal is to produce what you want.  We have a great team that works with those sorts of special effects.  You can click on live chat on our website or call our toll free customer service line, and we will answer all your questions.

While We’re on the Funky Topic…

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Hey Mom, while we’re on the topic of fun and funky, let me throw one of my favorites out there too.  Isn’t it remarkable the things our customers find interesting to photograph?  A gas cap!  Don’t you love it?  Joe

Proud Mom

Monday, July 19th, 2010

We just received a wonderful note that I’ve posted below from a proud Army mom.  Kimberly, thanks for writing.  It is truly our pleasure to support our troops and their families.  Tom

I have just finished reading about “Operation:  Hi Mom in Woman’s Day magazine and  just had to write to let you know that I think that it was such a wonderful idea!  I have enjoyed visiting your website and have decided that you must be very special people to not have forgotten these great American Heroes. Our son is currently in Afghanistan, proudly serving his country.  He has been deployed there for almost a year now, and we so miss his smiling face!  I can just imagine the joy that you were able to bring to those Mothers that received their soldier’s picture canvas.  I am sure that your kindness was greatly appreciated by all.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.  It is so nice of you to support the love that these soldiers and Mothers have for each other.

Sincerely, Kimberly (a proud Army mom)

Uh…That’s My Mom

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I just read my mom’s article about adventure that she posted on this site, and I had to laugh when she wrote that sometimes folks don’t believe her when she tells them about her adventures.

Well, our family believes her…and we sometimes worry about her!

For example: Her hot air balloon crashed–really crashed!  She has  hitchhiked through Mexico’s rugged Copper Canyon–5X the size of our Grand Canyon–not once but a dozen times.  She’s slept under railroad bridges and in abandoned buildings while documenting and photographing the lives of hobos and other homeless people.  She just returned from a ziplining trip in the jungles of Central America.  And this coming October, she’ll be heading to Texas to skydive with a young friend.

Here’s a picture we turned to canvas of mom’s most recent band of free-spirited adventurers in the Copper Canyon last November.  (That’s my mom in the grey vest.)   Keep her–and her anxious family–in your prayers!   Joe

Watch for Canvas on Demand on Groupon’s Site

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

A customer named Stephy contacted us yesterday to say she had suggested us on Groupon–the popular online site that offers daily deals–50% or more off–to subscribers.  We just want to say thanks to Stephy and ALL our customers who told Groupon about our company.  Thanks to you, Canvas on Demand will soon be featured on the Groupon site, so watch for our great deals coming up there soon!   Tom and Joe

Note from Stephy:  I suggested your site on Groupon. I love your site. You have great customer service. I have gotten a canvas for myself, one for a friend, and eventually would like to offer them through my photography business! Great company!

This Week…It’s All About Moms!

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Joe here.   I really loved Mom’s photo of the stacks of thousands of canvases going out to the mothers of our deployed service men and women.  We love being able to do this every Mothers Day.  I have a couple more photos to add here; they are of our folks loading up the boxes at the loading dock.   Thanks to all our staff who gladly work to make this project happen…even during one of our busiest seasons!

Happy Mothers Day to the moms out there!  Joe
