This is me and my now wife just after I graduated from boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Base in Gurnee, Illinois. It was a proud moment for me and my whole family

Here’s what Charles had to say about their mom…
My Mom, Jo, is one of the STRONGEST ladies I have ever met. Her job transferred her to St. Louis, Missouri and so she lives 3 hours away from my Dad who is in Decatur, Illinois. My Dad recently was diagnosed from cancer and so he has been going through cancer treatments. My Mom drives from St. Louis at EVERY possible time to go be with my Dad and still has the strength of mind and body to support me & my wife and my sister & her family in anything we need!

This photo was taken after my first deployment but before my second, which I am currently on. I’m with my sister Martha and my wife Teresa at my family’s ranch. My mom has always loved this picture

She teaches full time and then goes home and takes care of the house, my sister and my dad. She feeds cows every day. She’s tough!
