Canvases from Abroad

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

I just returned last night from a family vacation to Belize, Central America. It wasn’t your typical trip—we stayed in jungles and rainforests in order to visit shut-ins in their homes, teach in remote village schools, and deliver supplies to teachers who work hard with scarce resources.  So you readers won’t be surprised that I am particularly taken with folks today who have asked us to make canvases of their global adventures.

I will begin with an image that has not yet become a canvas.  This photo was taken by my daughter of the school children from a village called Duck Run 2 in the Cayo District of Belize.  The children were very excited that we were coming, so they made welcome signs to greet us.  This is a memory we will never forget!   It is often irresistible to pass up a canvas opportunity when you have an unforgettable moment captured with the snap of your camera like this one.

One of our customers, Natalie, also had such an image which she sent to us—a photo taken in Jodhpur, India. “I am thoroughly pleased with my experience with Canvas on Demand. They were so professional and helpful, keeping me informed the whole way. They even upgraded the size free of charge to make it look its best. I would definitely use them again.  I have recommended them to all my friends and family.”

Carrie Anne asked us to create a canvas from an image she captured in Africa. “I vacationed in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. There were three photos that I especially liked, and I sent them to Canvas On Demand. The canvases that were sent to me were simply spectacular. The quality was beyond excellent and the service was timely. Even though I had chosen a particular size for my photos, a Canvas on Demand representative called and said that the photos would look better in a larger size. They said that they would upsize my photos at their cost. The service and quality of the product from Canvas on Demand was superlative.”

And a final  photo snapped on a global vacation is from Nancy. “We recently visited Japan. Before we left, we asked our son and his wife what they would like for us to bring them. They said that they wanted a print of cherry blossoms.  I am thrilled with the result. Not only is the finished photo wonderfully printed, it is also stretched so nicely onto the wooden frame. With all of the luggage restrictions, it would have been impossible to give our children a gift nearly this nice.”

Now there is another reason to order a canvas from Canvas on Demand. You don’t have to carry it on the plane!  So the next vacation–whether you are stateside or abroad–think CANVAS!  Mom

So What Did You Do Over Your Summer Vacation?

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Remember those fall days as a child returning to school and having the teacher ask you to write a paper about what you did over your summer vacation?

Well, as always, a picture is worth a thousand words, and Amy’s canvas is better than any essay!  “This photo was taken late in the afternoon near the big Boddanath Stupa in Nepal. Women of this age (Amas) rarely allow photos of themselves, but they recognized me from my volunteer work and length of time in Kathmandu. They were gracious in allowing this photo to be taken. I am amazed at the vibrant color, quality and value of Canvas on Demand canvases. I have recommended this service to many friends!  I have ordered at least 7 canvases in the past, and will order more in the future! It is easy to place an order, and quick to receive the pictures at your front door. Don’t wait! Do it! You will be very pleased!”

Terry from Toronto tells her vacation story.  “My photo is from a trip my husband and I took to Tanzania. While there, we visited a Masai village. In the picture I am sitting with many beautiful children in a kindergarten class made of sticks. Spending time with them and their families was life changing. We will never forget the children singing to us. My Husband and I were married in Africa, so this picture is very meaningful.

When I uploaded the image, I had technical problems. Your gang at Canvas on Demand stepped in and saved the day. A customer service rep even called me at home to take the order over the phone. The kindness and professionalism is such a breath of fresh air.   Warm regards, Terry”

Thanks, Amy and Terry, for sharing your vacation stories with us through two wonderful images.  Mom
