When Love Lasts

I always enjoy seeing the anniversary canvases we make for our customers.  But lately I’ve noticed some that are particularly touching, images that are encouraging because they celebrate long successful marriages.

10th Anniversary:  The canvas that Mia asked us to create is of her and her sisters at the celebration of her 10th anniversary.  “We are walking down the path with personalized umbrellas in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.  My husband and I renewed our vows there for our 10 year anniversary. Canvas on Demand is a great company.  Quality work.  Fast services. They go the extra mile in making the customer happy.  I have had several pictures done by Canvas on Demand, and they have always done great work. I would definitely recommend them!”

40th Anniversary:  Judy explained her photo:  “We were in St. Lucia celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.  Canvas on Demand was simply amazing. It was very easy to order. Extremely prompt service.”

50th Anniversary:  Deb wanted to do something special for her parents.  “My parents are very inhibited, to say the least, about receiving gifts.  They don’t want anyone spending their hard-earned money on them. So, when I proposed a visit to the local photo studio to present them with a portrait for their 50th wedding anniversary, they adamantly declined. Therefore, the only recent photo I have of them is a “spontaneous” one I took on a beautiful day after we had lunch at a favorite restaurant, taken with my outdated digital camera. The Canvas on Demand staff contacted me immediately after I placed my order online, and asked about all I wished to do with my photo.  They also offered some great advice with their extensive knowledge/experience. They were amazingly thorough and helpful. I was anticipating a decent alternative to the expensive portrait my parents would not allow me to give them.  The testimonials and photos on the website led me to believe I would appreciate the product. Well, I opened the package today.  And I WEPT. The result of my amateur photo, thanks to Canvas on Demand, far surpasses anything I imagined.  And I am obsessively picky! I am now thrilled that my parents refused the portrait from the local photo studio. This is just absolutely phenomenal! Am so impressed. And, I cannot believe how affordable this was. Canvas on Demand will be my new source for turning my photos into happiness for others.  My biggest challenge, at this point, is restraining myself from giving my parents their gift earlier.”  Deb, I can’t begin to express the joy that your testimonial brings to our staff.  This is always our goal; to exceed your expectations!

65th   Anniversary:  Marsh posted a testimonial about the canvas he ordered. “This was taken in January 2011 while we celebrated my parents’ 65th (yes, sixty-fifth!) wedding anniversary.  When I first saw the canvas, I was so overcome with happiness, that I cried. THANK YOU for such a fantastic job! I am ordering two more of the exact same thing, so we can all have one!”

It Lasted! Celebrating Anniversaries

It’s always fun to make canvases of those spectacular wedding days, but I am especially touched by anniversary canvases.  Time has passed; but the love is still there! 

Bobbie asked us to create a canvas of this lovely shot of her daughter and her new husband, Krystina and Drew.  “They were in my front yard. It was just a simple shot taken to document the anniversary of their first kiss. They loved this picture so much, so I thought what better gift than this?  I found out about Canvas On Demand when the kids used a popular website to promote their wedding. Your website was easy to navigate and upload this digital photo. The turn around time was so fast! The canvas is by far my FAVORITE portrait EVER!  Very professional. Your Customer Service reps kept me very well informed every step of the way. Confirmation of my order was received…along with  processing, shipping, and tracking numbers so I knew when to expect delivery. And IT WAS DELIVERED ON A SATURDAY!   Thank you, Canvas On Demand, for this very special memoir!”

I’ve never seen anything quite like this next shot sent to us by Cheryl.  “We were celebrating our 10th  wedding anniversary on a cruise and had this picture was taken.  Super customer service! You guys even upgraded me to a larger canvas (at no extra charge) to better fit my picture!”  And the frame was built right in.  Clever!

Who would have thought that a cemetery would make such a lovely photo setting?  Customer Maria, explained: “This is my husband Mark and me on our wedding day in 1999. This particular cemetery is known for its beauty and many couples go there for their wedding photos. I had this done for our ten-year anniversary. I also had some special words written on the canvas, the Canvas on Demand artists did exactly what I wanted, and more — it came out so beautiful!”  It certainly did, Maria.  Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

I absolutely loved the combination of tenderness and energy in this next canvas that we made for Carol.  “This picture was taken at our 30th Wedding Renewal Ceremony.  It was a very wonderful time to share with our four adult children. We decided that they would be the only people invited to this special time in our life. We wanted to show them, by example, that our family is the most important thing to us.  I really enjoyed working with Jennifer, your customer service rep. She made me feel like this picture was special. I had many questions for her, which she answered with a smile. Even if I couldn’t see her smile…I knew she was smiling. When the canvas came, I actually cried. This will always remind us of the renewal of our love.”

Happy Anniversary!

We make many, many wonderful canvases of weddings…but we make lots of canvas gifts for customers who are celebrating anniversaries too.   

Maria had a great idea for a canvas gift to give to her husband Mark.  She sent us a terrific photo taken on their wedding day and asked us to add some special words to the layout.  “The service was the tops!” she told us.  “I had some questions and your art department answered the phone on the first ring.  Super nice!”  Maria went on to explain that the canvas was a 10th anniversary gift.  Happy Anniversary Maria and Mark!

Another customer, Christine, told us that she was having trouble deciding what to give her husband for their first anniversary.  Then she came across a picture of them exchanging their vows and rings.  She wrote:  ”I thought it would be awesome to have it on canvas. I was right.  He loved it!  The service and quality was fabulous!”  Christine, I really love the frame you selected.

Thankful for our Freedom and for Those who Protect it

The July Fourth holiday is a time to celebrate America’s freedom.  This post expresses our thanks to those who are working to protect it.

Canvas on Demand has an initiative called Operation Hi Honey. It has been our way, over the years, of honoring our troops who are deployed overseas and their spouses who are holding down the home front in their absence.   Operation Hi Honey has awarded hundreds of our deployed men and women a free fine art canvas, printed from a favorite photo, which is presented to their spouse on their anniversary.   It’s a way for soldiers to say I love you… and it’s a way for Canvas on Demand to say to our troops, Thanks for a job well-done!

Here are just a few of those canvases and the stories behind them.

Gordon

Gordon explained his canvas and his love for his wife, Christin.  “I had a fellow airman take this while I was standing on a ladder to surprise my wife. I am always thinking about her and hate being away from her and my family. Her strength helps make my important job easier while I am away from home.”

Robert told us that “This picture was taken the day I flew out to Iraq–Me, Megan, and our son Christian James (12 months old). I met Megan my freshman year of college. She is loving and good to me and our son. She is always

pushing me to do more than what I think I’m capable of doing. I could not be where I am without her.”

And David honored his wife, Taylor with the following: 

“This is a photo of my wife and I on our wedding day. I returned on R & R from Iraq for two weeks. During that time, we got married, honeymooned, and then I returned to Iraq to finish out the last six months of my tour. She’s a rock-star! This is our fourth deployment together. She’s a full-time teacher and a full-time graduate student. She also just bought us our first house in my absence, and put the whole move together without me.”

I have had the honor of delivering some of these canvases to spouses, and I have seen firsthand the sacrifices and work involved in being the one left at home to tend to the home and children…and to love unconditionally from such a distance…all the while being fully aware of the dangers.
