What’s Your Adventure?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Last week I posted an article about adventure and asked our readers to let us know about the adventure in their lives.  I ended the post with: “Now GO DO SOMETHING EXCITING!”

Well, one of our pro customers, Linda Sherrill from Justus Photography, contacted me with an exciting interest.

Mom:  I saw your blog from June 17th.  You said you’d like to see things we do that are exciting.  I’m one of the Canvas on Demand Pro customers, and I ride endurance horses.  We compete all over the country and ride 50 miles a day–kind of like a marathon on horseback!  This is a photo of me on my mare Monaliza, and she is a pure joy to spend time with.  Thanks for asking about what we do.  I have this photo on a canvas in my photography office.  I love it!    Linda

Thanks for sharing your adventures with us, Linda.  If you’d like to learn more about Linda’s photography, you can visit her wonderful website at http://www.lindasherrill.com/.  And when you’re finished with that…let me hear from YOU about YOUR adventure!  Mom

We Love Art and Artists!

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

By Tom, co-owner of Canvas on Demand

This article is for all the artists out there who are asking about Canvas on Demand’s ability to create high quality art reproductions

At www.GicleeGeeks.com, you can learn all about our division created for artists who are looking for a simple, low cost way to get museum quality reproductions made of their artwork. Steve Randall, our head geek, describes the service this way, “We have created the very best image capture and color management system available. I’m an artist and have never seen better color matching than we can achieve at Giclee Geeks.”

But you don’t need to take our word for it;   just look at what the artists are saying.

Robert's artwork

Robert Harris, who started his art career at an early age, capturing the world he saw around him, is a graduate of Carleton College in Art and Art History.   “I was very pleased with the quality of the prints. I sent an original art piece, and it was returned to me with great care taken in packaging the art properly. The process was easy.”  (www.robertharrisstudios.com)

bright-contemporay-artMargaret Zox Brown strives to capture the beauty she sees in nature, the serenity she feels when observing a still life, or the intrinsic nature of the human spirit.   “My experience with Giclee Geeks was excellent. They kept me informed as to the status of the job at every stage, and they were available by phone to answer any questions that arose. (http://www.margaretzoxbrown.com)

Christi's artwork

Christi Bunn is  a fine artist working in several mediums including oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, as well as graphite and colored pencil.   “I was very pleased with the finished product. The reproduction was an excellent, both in color representation and quality of paper. It was shipped in a  good quality box to prevent bending of the print and packed nicely wrapped with tissue.”   (http://www.christibunn.com)

So when you think PRINT REPRODUCTION, think CANVAS ON DEMAND!
