The Cats’ Meow!

Sunday, October 28th, 2012

Mark Twain once said: “If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.”

A yet another favorite quote, this time by Ernest Hemmingway…“A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.”

If you are an animal lover, treat yourself some morning by pouring a cup of coffee, sitting down to your computer, and perusing the pet section of Canvas on Demand’s Customer Showcase.  Pure delight!

Here’s a cat that a customer named Michael calls the Stalking Lion. He told us, “I was hoping not to be dinner!  You guys offer a great product, and I was very pleased with the final canvas.”

Another customer, a proud grandma, sent us this sweet little kitten and asked us to create a canvas.  She told us in her testimonial…This is my grandson Aidan Robert after he got his face painted.

It’s always a great experience working with Canvas on Demand!”  Thanks for sharing this with us, Grandma. I really love the image; and it is especially fun to share it  just in time for Halloween.

And the final photo turned to canvas that I’d like to share with our readers is this one.  It is such a traditional, proud, and sassy cat image.  It reminds me of yet another quote—though I can’t find out who to credit for it. “Everyone needs a dog to adore him, and a cat to bring him back to reality”

The customer who sent the photo in shows and breeds Maine Coon cats.  “This was our very first litter of kittens, and a beautiful litter at that! This photo was taken at a Cat Show in Beaumont, Texas. Sometimes I sit and look at the canvas in total amazement; the quality is beyond words! It was very easy to order online and delivery was very fast! I highly recommend Canvas on Demand. You folks are just fantastic in what you do and you don’t put customers in debt doing it!!

Thanks so much for that lovely testimonial.  Kind words like this means the world to our staff.  Great testimonials are, you might say, really the cats’ meow!  Mom

Look, Honey, I’ve Embellished the Pet!

Monday, July 30th, 2012

I can’t help but smile when images like these come along.  I love animals, and so I especially love photos of embellished family pets.  I never know what to expect next.  Sometimes it’s something rather predictable, but still cute…like this tiny little Maltese named Sophie with poofies in her hair.  Her owner, Danny, told us…”The canvas prints I had made were of photos I had taken of our Tiny Maltese Sophie, the goddess of the house.  The price was reasonable, the service pretty quick, the packaging phenomenal, and the results outstanding! (Even Sophie liked them, and she’s pretty picky.)”

Lisa is a customer after my own heart.  “This is one of our rescue bulldogs… Minnie. She and Spanx were rescued together. Yes, the butterfly is PhotoShopped onto her nose.  The butterfly was from a photo we took at my sister’s wedding. This particular butterfly wouldn’t leave our sides. It seemed fitting to combine both pictures into one!”  She added a few kind words about Canvas on Demand:  “My experience with Canvas on Demand was such a positive one that I’ve been promoting them all week (since my first canvas arrived)! I think my husband is getting concerned that I’m looking for so many photos to have put on canvas for the house!”

I call this next piece, Vincent Squared!  It was taken by Vincent’s owner, John, who said: If I ever need a subject, Vincent is always ready for his close up. It was real easy to upload and order from Canvas on Demand!”

And finally, this last one by Linda speaks for itself.  What wonderful embellishments!  Linda tells us that Schnecken, a micro Chihuahua, “was standing up in her booster seat to get a better look out the window.  Canvas on Demand did a fabulous job with this photo. The finished product is just beautiful. We get lots of compliments. 5 Stars!”

Thanks to all our creative customers for these posts.  It is a joy to pass them along to our readers.  Mom

The Wild and Unusual

Friday, June 8th, 2012

I moved to a very remote area of Indiana last fall.  I have especially enjoyed the wildlife in my forest.  I soon learned, however, that the animals at a nearby neighbor’s house are far more interesting.  I was invited over last evening for dinner and was greeted by their numerous dogs and cats and new little kitty.  But when I sat down in my lawn chair, I was handed a small cage with a baby squirrel in it.  During the visit there was also conversation about an alligator which they had as a pet for many years.  It grew from a baby to 6 feet!  It is sad that the pet gator died last year before I could meet her, but the stories are amazing and entertaining.  I think that time with my neighbors inspired me to look at canvases created of some unusual animals.

I’ll start with a customer named James and his 14-month-old Coffin Cockatoo, Coral-Belle.  “Very photogenic and loves to pose for the camera!”

Then I’ll move right along to two canvases by Dannella.  One is of a wild pig in Brazil.  She explains that these are often kept in cages by Amazonian tribes.”  She also asked us to create a canvas of a fabulous picture she took of a peacock.  “This photo was taken in Prague, Czech Republic in a park off the Malostranská metro stop.  It’s home to several peacocks that roam around. This particular one was trying hard to impress a mate.”  Wow! Both of these images are amazing, Danella!  She goes on to say in her testimonial: “Canvas on Demand has done some fantastic work with my photos. Very well done.  I keep coming back to print more!”

Edward sent us this photo and simply explained, “This is Jody and her one legged pigeon, Andy. I love the quality and very friendly staff.”

The final one is of a dog named Felton belonging to a friend of our customer, Linda.  Dog canvases come in to us often, but his one was unusual because Linda modified it in Photoshop.  “I have wanted to try putting my art on canvas for a long time. I even bought an expensive large format printer that prints on canvas but soon found the whole process overwhelming and could not get a decent print. I was also reluctant to spend even more money having someone else do it, but finally gave in when Canvas on Demand had a sale.  I thought that it would not really be the best quality, but I was astounded with the beautiful work you did with my photo! Canvas on Demand kept in touch with me throughout the process, notified me when it shipped, and followed up on the delivery….. I could not be more pleased with the whole entire process! Thanks guys for a job very well done!”  How fun, Linda!  And thanks for sharing how pleased you are.  It makes our day.

Family of Animals

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

One of my favorite sections of our Customer Showcase is the Pets section.  Whether you are a pet owner or not, you should visit it.  I assure you that it will put a smile on your face!  Just click here to take a look…http://www.canvasondemand.com/showcase/pets/1/

George Eliot once said:  Animals are such agreeable friends—they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.

So it’s little wonder that pets are man’s best friend.  How often I’ve heard people say that their pet thinks they are part of the family.  Here are some canvases we’ve made for customers of pets who seem to have developed families all their own.

Debra sent in this photo and explained to us that she shows and breeds Maine Coon cats.  “This was our very first litter of kittens, and a beautiful litter at that! This photo was taken at a Cat Show in Beaumont, Texas.  Sometimes, I just sit and look at the canvas in total amazement.  The quality is beyond words! It was very easy to order online and delivery was fast! I highly recommend Canvas on Demand, they are just fantastic at what they do…and they don’t put you in debt doing it!”  They are precious, Debra!  Thanks for sharing the story behind your canvas.

Laetitia asked us to make a canvas showing off her lovely babies—Ibid, Teflon, Juju, Patrick, Mancala, and Petzi.  I love this canvas!  Just look at the colors!  Laetitia is one of our employees but assured us that she isn’t at all biased! [That makes me smile!] “The canvas really makes the bright colors ‘pop’! I love working here and seeing all the great pet photos!”  Me too, Laetitia!

Lou sent in a terrific shot.  “I am proud to introduce my three retired racing greyhounds.  From left to right: Dash, Troy, and Andy Taylor. These magnificent companions are the sunshine of my life and are enjoying their retirement so very much. Life is “GREYT” now, and I am so happy they raced into my heart. I am very proud to show off my Canvas and have gotten great comments. Thank you all at Canvas on Demand for all you do!”

And then there’s this final canvas we created forJulia.  It’s of her dog, Jake.  “No one loves the Oregon coast more than our dog Jake!”  Lou, this makes me want to come visit this coast.  If I do, I’ll keep an eye out for Jake.  Mom
