Many of our customers pay close attention to SHAPE. In fact, I often see orders come in for canvases made from photos of shapes. Yes, just intriquing shapes!
For example, Robert told us about his canvas: The Canvas on Demand folks are great to work with. When I got rid of the TV in our bedroom, it left a big empty space in our entertainment center that I wanted to fill with something appropriate. I live in a semi-artsy community where several people have placed their old TVs outside as yard art. I wanted to take that concept and give it a little twist. So here is what used to be my least favorite image from my early TV watching days. Is it art? You decide. Now, Robert…that is pure FUN! Thanks for sharing.

- Shaping Up in an Old TV!
Look at the shapes in Joanna’s art canvas! I love her story, and I bet you will too. A friend of mine from a collage class drew the girl as a black and white ink drawing on an 8 x 10 sheet of paper and wrote out Bible verses of encouragement and self-esteem for women. My friend is one of the most colorful people I know–full of life and joy. So I decided to scan the drawing and color the girl the way that I saw my friend. I loved it so much that I decided to hang it in my office as well as get another Canvas to share with her. Canvas on Demand has just been an excellent way for me to express my art in a big way. It turned out very professional and more than I could have asked for. When I read your testimonial, Joanna, it made me wish I had several of those black and white images, so I could color them the way I see some of the wonderful people in my life. Maybe your friend should consider creating a coloring book for adults.

- Shaping Up in Color!
My last example is a canvas we made for Courtni. She created a personal energy mandala and asked us to make it into a canvas wall hanging. This is what Courtni had to say. My experience with Canvas on Demand was a super smooth transaction from start to finish. I was looking for a place in town (I live in Phoenix) to print my mandala on canvas when I just happened to come across Canvas On Demand! How does it get any better than that? Because of the shape of the photo, I upgraded to a 24 x 24 square canvas. Upgrading and customizing the size on the site was easy–just a few clicks. I love the live chat feature on the website! I used it to find out when my canvas had been shipped and learned it was being loaded that very minute. Canvas on Demand emailed me a tracking number, and I received the canvas one day earlier than estimated. A very smooth transition and AWESOME QUALITY!

- Shaping Up into a Mandala
We at Canvas on Demand are always learning from our customers…and I love passing the lessons on to our readers. So now I hope many of you will begin looking for interesting and colorful shapes while you are strolling around with your camera. One of those clicks of the shutter just might end up on the wall of your home or office! Mom

Canvas on Demand was at a high tea to say “thank you” to a non-profit (501C3) organization that supports teachers and students in low-income regions stateside and abroad. The Cornelius Foundation International has served such a mission for twelve years, and last week’s high tea fundraiser in Clay City, Indiana, was an opportunity for women to come together to learn more about this wonderful organization. Jackie (Mom) from Canvas on Demand awarded a $100 gift certificate to Wendy, board member of the organization. The initiative raised $1,153. Jackie said, “Canvas on Demand is honored to work with hundreds of grassroots organizations like this one.”

Canvas on Demand wants to offer our support and encouragement by presenting them with a $100 Canvas on Demand gift certificate to be auctioned off at their next fundraiser. It’s just one way we can cheer on the good works of local non-profit organizations. Visit our Doing Good program by clicking here: http://cool.canvasondemand.com/category/donation/ Mom

There are less than three weeks of shopping left! If you are anything like me, I avoid big shopping malls and massive crowds as much as possible. More and more people like me are shopping online, leaving extra time for the things that are really important during the holidays—things like family and friends and celebrations!
A personal art canvas makes the perfect gift…and often becomes a family heirloom passed down generation to generation. (Yes, they are made to last!) It only takes a few minutes to place an order online, or you can always call our great customer service hotline. Our team is waiting and ready to serve you. So with the holidays in mind, I want to share some great orders we filled for some of our customers.
Carol asked us to create this holiday canvas for her. “Our children and grandchildren came to spend their first white Christmas in the Chicago area. The photo is of them and our two dogs Indy and Taffy in the quaint village of Long Grove. Canvas on Demand is by far the best photo type program I have ever worked with. The end product is beautiful and if there is any question at all I was called. It has been the most positive experience, and a perfect end result!” Thanks for those kind words, Carol. I once lived in the Chicago area and have fond memories of Long Grove too.

White Christmas
What a wonderful traditional image William chose for this canvas of his three children. He told us that these are “his beautiful children photographed professionally by Shutter Love Studio of Perrysburg, Ohio. My experience with Canvas on Demand was excellent. It was easy to order and the product is beautiful and of great quality.”

William's Beautiful Kids in Front of the Tree
A canvas hanging in your home can bring back the most treasured memories each time you look at it. Our customer, Janice, loved that her family had come home for the holidays! ”The service and product quality was excellent! Thank you so much for taking our precious photo and turning it into a piece of wall art.”

Home for the Holidays!
And look at this next one: If it isn’t the jolly ofd guy himself! Yes, we sometimes make canvases for the rich and famous! Alfred told us that: “The photo was taken at the Rein Deer Ranch in Waxahachie Texas at a meeting of the Lone Star Santas. The Santa in the photo is Patrick of Irving Texas. Canvas on Demand was a great help on deciding on the color for the edge, since the photo could not be a rap around. I could not be happier with the excellent work Canvas On Demand did. I will use them again and tell my friends of the great work they do.”

Now here's a familiar face...
Happy holidays from all of us at Canvas on Demand. We encourage you to keep the most important things and people in your lives at the top of your list this year! Mom

Yes, it’s almost “that most wonderful time of the year!” Black Friday and Cyber Monday are already behind us and less then a month remains for all the preparations.
Canvas on Demand can help relieve the stress of shopping and provide the perfect gift for each of the special folks on your list. It only takes a few minutes online to place an order…and in a short time, an amazing one-of-a-kind heirloom art canvas will arrive at your door. All that’s left for you to do is attach a gift tag that tells them how much you love them.
And while you’re buying for others, take a lesson from Christian and Erica and don’t forget to be good to yourself this year too. They ordered holiday family portraits for themselves. Christian told us…“This company has a superb customer service department. Informative, cooperative, and reasonably priced. We are very pleased with the quality of the resulting Canvas.”
And Erica, with all the colors we associate with the season, opted for black and white. Stunning! I agree with her testimony: “IT IS AMAZING!! I can’t explain how impressed I was with the quality, I love it.”

A stunning black and white holiday canvas
Denise on the other hand, asked us to make this canvas as a gift for her mother. What mom wouldn’t feel touched to find this family portrait under her tree? Denise explained that “it was a photo of 14 family members, and it turned out excellent. I was very impressed with how the art department made the canvas bigger and they did it without charging me!”

One of my favorites that I’m featuring today is a canvas we made for a customer named Jana. It’s from a photo of her parents holding their 3 yorkies. She wrote to us saying: “I want to whole-heartedly thank you. It was made larger at no cost to me, arrived quickly, and looks just awesome! My parents were thrilled beyond belief! Your company is just amazing!”

Thanks, Jana. We love to hear about folks being thrilled by our products. And we believe that our customers are the ones who are AMAZING! Mom

One of our Canvas Crazies (folks who register online with us because they are crazy about our products) recently told me they were fascinated with our Customer Showcase because when visiting it the other day they began to connect some of the canvases into a collection of sorts in their imagination. So they actually copied a few images and forwarded them to me. They called this little collection Mane Points. I want to share it with our readers.
We will begin with a canvas we made for Carla who told us: “This is my favorite photo of all time. I was out riding my horse Cheyenne, and we were crossing the creek on our ranch. Cheyenne stopped to look around and to get a drink of water, and I saw the magic that was in view. I feel so lucky to have gotten this shot and when I look at this picture. And you folks at Canvas on Demand were so helpful. I received my picture in a timely manner and there was absolutely no damage from being shipped! Thank you.”

Mane Point #1
The next Mane Point of this article is in regard to a canvas we created of an alpaca named Gandolf for Kelly. “He is one of our amazing little boy alpacas and he has so much fleece on his face and legs! He is a beauty! My husband is a photoshop geek and did some fun manipulation to give this photo some interesting layers. We absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our canvas!! We would tell others to order with complete and utter confidence. These folks do a wonderful job! We will definitely be ordering from them again!”

Mane Point #2
Jeanine sent us an image—another Mane Point—that I have shared with many friends. She said that “Rupert is such a ham when he plays in the snow. He loves the camera and the camera clearly loves him too!”

Mane Point #3
When I received this collection from the Canvas Crazy, I was delighted by the next image that struck her fancy. Well, it’s a Mane Point for sure too! Customer Nicole’s son “was caught on camera just waking up with the morning light was coming in. He is looking out onto the balcony.” What a handsome young man, Nicole. I am sure this will be a family favorite for many years to come!

Main Point #4
And thanks to Denise for sharing her Mane Points collection with us and our readers. What do the rest of you see a collection when you visit our showcase. If you do, please let me know. Mom

With the holidays right around the corner, our thoughts turn to family. Jane Howard said, “Call it a clan, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one…”
If you are trying to come up with the perfect gift idea, why not give the gift of nostalgia? Just look at the amazing heirloom quality of these canvases. Now these are gifts that never stop giving!
The canvas we made for Connie is of her parents’ wedding. It was taken in 1949. “The photo is a close-up wedding portrait of my parents. It was a colorized black and white and not very good quality. But Canvas on Demand more than exceeded my expectations. When they determined it could not be worked on as a large canvas like I had ordered, they contacted me, and we discussed options. The final product was a spectacular 8×10 in a perfect frame. I am so happy, I am ordering three more.“

Wedding Memories
Paulette was equally happy with her canvas. She told us: “This is a high school graduation photo of my grandmother Leone dating back to 1908. This is an incredible image, and one I will cherish forever. I cannot stress enough the perfection in customer service and restoration to final product rendered. I have already recommended this site to many friends. The finished product is absolutely beautiful.”

High School Memories
Now here is a gift that Elissa gave to her father for Christmas, and I’ll bet it’s one of his most treasured possessions! “The photo is of my great x 4 grandfather, a Union officer in the Civil War with all officers. The service was excellent! The photo was in very bad condition and the restoration was amazing! I can’t wait to give the canvas to my father for Christmas!”

Patriotic Memories
And finally, I love the canvas that Sulaisman had us make for him. It’s all about community leadership. “Yes leadership. A very important black and white portrait of leadership in my community with family members in there too. I requested someone to call me to assist with actual dimension of frame depending on picture quality. A person called me and spent the time needed to explain which dimensions would look nice and kept assuring me that the canvas would be beautiful. I added touch up service level one and was pleased.”

Leadership Memories
How can there be any doubt about the perfect holiday family gift? Now is the time to start digging out the treasures, making decisions, and placing your orders. You won’t be disappointed when you give a bit of nostalgis to family loved ones! Mom

I am winding up October with a little more practical information about Canvas on Demand. The last article told about options our customers have when placing an order. This article tells about an effort our company makes to support those in our country who are doing good…and making a difference! Canvas on Demand is committed to making the world a better place. That’s why we want to recognize non-profit organizations striving toward that same goal. Perhaps you or someone you love have been touched by such a group. Or maybe you volunteer for one, since so many non-profits are volunteer-powered. In any case, if you let us know about the good work your favorite organization is doing, we will present that organization with a $100 Canvas on Demand gift certificate to be auctioned off at their next fundraiser. The highest bidder can redeem the certificate for an 11″x14″ PixelPainting canvas created from their favorite photo and the organization keeps the proceeds to continue their mission.
Your qualifying 501C3 organization will receive a package with the following materials: A $100 Canvas on Demand gift voucher, a sample canvas and stand, a descriptive table tent, and several 10% discount cards for those participating in the event.
This year, Canvas on Demand plans to give away up to $100,000 worth of Doing Good gift vouchers. It’s our way of supporting and partnering with qualified grass roots organizations that are working to become the very change they want to see in the world. Following are a few testimonials from recipients.
Donna from the Asheboro Association of Education Office wrote to us saying: We received the gift certificate and display canvas last week. Thank you so very much. Our group is so excited and we know the canvas will be a great student scholarship fundraiser at our statewide workshop for school office professionals. We will send pictures!
From Kim: Thank you for your donation of a $100 gift certificate to the Elmwood Parents’ Club, an Illinois-based nonprofit organization. Your donation was auctioned off at our Golf Outing, Auction and Dinner event to help raise funds to further the Parents’ Club’s tax-exempt activities. The highest bidder took home your donation for $60. This year’s earnings will be used to provide assistance in worthwhile projects for the betterment of Elmwood Elementary School. We thank you for your support.
Derrick told us… Thanks for helping the Cornerstone Academy PTG with our fundraiser. The kit that you supplied was very well put together with a beautiful sample canvas for display of the quality of your work to all attendees. It helped contribute to the success of the silent auction.
From Traci: Canvas On Demand, once again you came through for us! Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our 2011 Silent Auction. The Silent Auction raised $1126 for our school. This is money that will go towards helping the students and teachers at South Hamilton Elementary in many ways. We hope that this Silent Auction will also benefit your business. We let the entire student body know who donated items, and we encouraged them to make these places ones that they will shop at regularly. We would love for you to partner with our school again sometime in the future. We could not have done with without you, so thank you again for helping us in this new endeavor.
So go to our website’s Doing Good page and register to get you gift card! And just for fun, click here to listen to one recipient’s “thank you message”! http://youtu.be/xoASrCqW7nU Mom
