Our readers may think I favor baby canvases in these posts…and well, they may be right. I was fascinated today by baby heads and toes. Really. Just read on…
A customer named Ben sent us this sweet testimonial, saying: “I took this photo a week after our baby boy, Finn, was born…my wife and my wedding rings hung from his toes. The experience with Canvas on Demand has been great so far! The quality is fantastic and showcases our wall!”

Next, I saw this canvas that Sally asked us to create for her. “This is our new little grandson when he was only days old. He was born one month premature, and he fit perfectly in his dad’s hands. His little head and ‘swirl’ will be remembered always and the canvas treasured forever. I ordered two…one for my daughter and one for us. Your customer service has always gone above and beyond!”

Julie had a great idea for this next canvas. “I always submit true digital size images and the crew at Canvas on Demand makes sure my canvas looks identical to the original image and that nothing gets cropped. I love the quality and clarity of my new canvas from Canvas on Demand. These guys get it right, every time… And they make ordering a breeze!”

Shondell sent us this precious black and white. Toes again! She said, “This picture was taken by two of my dearest friends who are aspiring photographers building their portfolios. The subject was my two-month-old son. After the mini photo shoot my husband and I where given all the photos of our darling-little-one to hand out to all the grandparents. It was difficult picking a favorite but this particular one stood out, and I just had to have it on canvas! My husband on the other hand was very apprehensive about having it put on canvas. He was doubtful that the quality of the photo would hold up and that the once professional looking picture would look bad on canvas and pixilated. When the canvas arrived, the look on my husband’s face was priceless. I think I may have even seen a tear. He could hardly believe how amazing the canvas looked. The picture means so much to us both already and to have it on canvas just added a whole new dimension and meaning to it. We are extremely proud to have it up with the collection of our other art pieces. My only regret is that I didn’t get a larger canvas. I’ve already told my dear fiends that I would love to have more of their pictures on Canvas. I was very happy with how quickly we received our canvas. The web site was easy to use in ordering and creating our very own custom made piece of art.”

Our staff understands how important it is for our customers get the product they are hoping to receive. But our goal goes beyond that. We are always aiming to exceed our customers’ expectations. Thanks to all four of you who wrote to let us know how pleased you are with your canvases. Your encouraging words, make all our efforts worthwhile! Mom

Today it is mid-afternoon, late summer, and the temperatures are in the high 70s. What a break from the 100+ scorchers that the Midwest suffered through a short month ago! I was taking a drive in the country with my sister this morning, and several times, she remarked that she wished she had her camera along. She was disappointed that she was missing such amazing photo opportunities—blue skies, rich outdoor light and color, rustic barns and fences dotting the landscape. We promised to come back to those very spots again in the next couple of weeks…with her camera.
I’m sure many of you can relate. How often do see the toddler do something hilarious, or the dog cock his head just so, or an old homestead on the horizon…and ask: “Where’s my camera when I need it?” Cell phones make it easy to capture images, but nothing takes the place of our favorite camera.
I don’t really have a theme for this article. Perhaps it will simply serve as a reminder to not leave home without the camera! I’ve chosen a few canvases to honor those customers who happened to have the right camera at the right place at the right time!
Jason knows what I’m talking about. He told us: “I was actually shooting to capture the Heliconia plant, because my wife is a florist and loves working with tropical plants. Then out of nowhere comes this green throated Hummingbird…right in for its portrait and making for this great canvas. Thanks Canvas on Demand. I would highly recommend Canvas on Demand to pro and novice photographers alike.”

And customer Priscilla was in the right place with both her camera and her grandson. “I caught this wonderful shot of my grandson, Jacob, peeking at me through a metal lawn decoration. It is very cool on canvas! You guys do a great job!” Well, Priscilla, it couldn’t have happened if you hadn’t been ready!

Michael too was at the right place at the right time with the right camera! “These three mares belong to one of several wild horse bands near Placitas, NM, north of Albuquerque. I’m a repeat customer, so I’m not surprised at the quality of the images. Your service is great, and I’m impressed with how well you package your products!” And I am impressed, Michael, at how well you captured that wonderful moment!

Susan, I bet you are pleased with your timing on this one! “Dylan is showing his personality on a hot summer day in New York City’s Central Park. I love Canvas on Demand! The picture was perfect and the delivery was speedy. I will definitely use them time and time again!

On these lovely late summer days…go for a drive and keep the camera nearby! Mom

Most of our testimonials are about canvases we created from customers’ family photos. Sometimes it’s from a favorite picture of the whole family or a collage or a memorial of a single loved one. What do they all have in common? The family love and pride behind each canvas!
Trina told us that she and her family were “just having fun at Grandma’s house” when this photo was snapped. I would title it Family Circle. And, Trina, I especially love the extended leg and foot!

Aharon didn’t even try to decide on a favorite; she had lots of them. “I love this collage!” she told us. “It’s made up of different photos of me and my family. Working with Canvas on Demand was great! You guys were so quick and easy. And your customer service is fantastic! In about a week, I had this canvas hanging up in my house! I will definitely be using you again soon!”

Pauline asked us to turn this sweet memory of her parents into an art canvas. “The photo I sent you was of my parents. I lost my mother last August, and this was such a lovely picture of her that I wanted to have it put on canvas so my father and family can look at her beauty always. The service was absolutely wonderful, the reps were polite, helpful, and a joy! If all businesses were this professional and pleasant, life would be much better . The canvas looks as if my mother could step right off the wall. Thank you so much.

Tori was looking for a new piece of art for her modern home and also wanted some new photos of herself with her son. And look how she accomplished both! “Our photo was taken against a vibrant graffiti wall. I was concerned that the colors might not have the bright punch that I love in the photo and that the cropping would be off. But I had nothing to worry about. The oranges and blues are brilliant. I followed up my order by calling to verify the cropping and the rep was knowledgeable and friendly. I recently had a party and my canvas was the talk of the night. I couldn’t be more satisfied!”

These customers remind us of the value of family and give us great ideas about how to display family memories on the walls of our homes and offices for everyone to see. Thanks to the four of you for sharing! Mom

The best thing about a Canvas on Demand gift is that it is perfect for any special occasion—wedding, birthday, new baby, graduation, or any other significant accomplishment. I friend of mine recently said that she doesn’t even consider any other gift! After all, what better way to keep a precious memory alive than an heirloom canvas?
Snehal gave this canvas as a wedding gift to her cousin. “I wanted to give them a unique gift and came across Canvas on Demand. My cousin loved the surprise! The service was excellent. The service reps were incredibly helpful.”
I was especially taken with this testimonial and canvas that we created for Dave and Dorie for their 18th wedding anniversary. He explained: “This was a VERY special night for us. Our 18th wedding anniversary in our favorite place on earth–Epcot Center in Disney World, as the park was closing. We had the “day of our lives” in the parks (including parasailing to 650 feet, wonderful food around the world, and fireworks to make the night perfectly complete. We celebrated our love and commitment in the place where that love originally blossomed, Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We really wanted this picture to be as special as the night it was taken. We were both skeptical about the pixel-painting but went ahead as planned. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY at the result–WE LOVE IT!!!! It now hangs in our Great Room and is our pride and joy. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your service is wonderful.”

An Anniversary Memory
Now it would be hard to top the joy of this next canvas that we made of triplets, Cam, Jordan and Keith. “When I saw the website I wasn’t so sure that the finished product was going to be as good you made it seem. Well in a way, I was right. It was so much better!!! I actually had this same photo enlarged for my husband’s birthday last year and it came out awful. I figured I would give you guys a shot, and I am so glad I did! The canvas came out beautiful!! I almost cried when I saw it. Thank you so much for doing a great job.”

Surely an heirloom-to-be!
Amiee wanted a way to always remember her son’s graduation. “This photo was taken at my son’s high school graduation. I loved this picture of both my kids, because they’re both smiling and really reflecting the excitement of that evening! I obviously didn’t need to see the hundreds of other people in the back ground, so I loved the Canvas On Demand feature of blurring out the background! I will definitely continue to use Canvas On Demand for these types of photo projects!”
So, do you have a special event on the horizon? Do you want to tell someone how much you appreciate them this coming Thanksgiving? Or are you simply in the market for a gift that will become a family heirloom? The solution is easy. Simply upload that favorite photo and let us get the job done for you! Mom

This post is about some wonderful images that we made into canvases for our customers. I call it All Grown Up! Christina sent us this photo of “Elijah’s 18-month pictures taken by Holy Torres.” They call it Applebee’s Face. I think it looks like Elijah is headed to the golf course for a few rounds with his clients.

All Grown Up
Diane’s canvas is one of my all time favorites. I titled it Girl Talk. She told us: “These are our twin granddaughters at 9 months old. I thought the picture was timeless and had this done for our daughter’s First Mothers Day. I had one made for us too. We all love it! Both my husband and I work at schools, and we took it to our schools to show and got many compliments on it! Working with Canvas on Demand was easy. I placed our order on a Wednesday, and the following Tuesday the pictures were at our door. We ordered this in a 20×24, but you advised that we change the size to 20×30…and you did it at no extra charge! Buy one, get one half off is also a great deal. Thank you, thank you. We will do this again.”

Girl Talk
Banazer asked us to make this photo into a canvas. “It was taken at Xara’s first birthday party and we love it. My husband plays the keyboard, and Xara shows immense interest in it too. We can’t wait to hear her play some real music someday. You offer the best customer service. I am in love with you!”

Do You Take Requests?
What amazing creativity you have each shown in finding those rare moments when the little ones seem SO grown up. Thanks for sharing your comments with our readers. Mom

Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.
Jane Howard, from her book “Families”
A vast majority of the canvases we create for our customers focus on their families. Just click http://www.canvasondemand.com/showcase/ and check out our Customer Showcase. You’ll see categories like Babies, Kids, Family, Vacation. Today I’ve decided to share some of my favorite family canvases of (drum roll, please!), GRANDMOTHERS! I’m a grandma five times over. The kids call me Ipsy. It’s my most valued role at this point in my life, so I tend to pause when I see precious canvases like the ones below.

Someone once said that Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting. That quote suits Keiko’s canvas of her mother talking with her daughter. She told us: “This was a present to my mom. It captures one of those sweet moments between granddaughter and grandmother. I can almost hear the conversation.”
Then Connie from Dyersburg, Tennessee, told us about her canvas. “I took this picture of my 84 year old mother and my 6 year old granddaughter. My goal for the day was to take pictures for a Christmas card. However, my mother (who suffers from moderate dementia) and my granddaughter ended up making the best picture of the day. The pink rose was from our backyard and just happened to be in the picture, because my mother had kept it with her all day. It adds a sparkle to the fall picture with the pink color in the midst of all the autumn colors. My mother loves to have her picture made, and our granddaughter is so good with her that the picture is priceless to me.”
Connie, your canvas causes me to reflect on the seasons of our lives. Thanks for sharing the story behind it.
I read that a grandmother is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend. Can’t you just see that in this next canvas sent to us by Phyllis? “PRICELESS!” she says. ”This is of grandma and our precious baby girl wearing purple and being a big! Beautiful!”

Yes, indeed, Phyllis, it is beautiful…just like that special bond between grandmas and grandkids. Hats off today to grandmothers! Ipsy

Oh, it’s probably just the holidays–this past weekend’s Thanksgiving dinner with beloved family members and anticipation of all the upcoming December traditions, but today I keep noticing all the canvases about hugs and kisses.
This one on the right that we created for Erin from Phoenix, Arizona is precious. Don’t the eyes say it all? Erin told us that she especially loved the gallery quality, the fast turnaround, and the great price. But as for me, I especially love the eyes of that little girl receiving the kiss!

And this next black and white speaks powerfully about family! Susan from St. Cloud, Florida has this special canvas hanging over the master bed. “We are two career-oriented people who just started a family late in life and the art canvas shows just how much we love our new bundle of joy! We are so proud of this canvas.”
Doesn’t this next one below make you want to get together with your brothers and sisters? Jennifer told us about this canvas of her brothers’ hugs. “We were in Las Vegas for my brother Chris’ wedding. He is a makeup artist and was on location for a photo shoot. He did the models’ makeup, and in exchange, the photographer shot Chris’ wedding pictures. My brother Mike NEVER wears button downs or collared shirts so to have a picture of him in one is priceless. I really love how my brothers’ arms are wrapped around me with their tattoos are showing. This is a great picture of the three of us! And talk about great service! When I opened the box and saw the canvas I thought WOW! The quality is amazing.”
This holiday season, you can show your loved ones how you feel about them by giving them a gift from Canvas on Demand. And a little kiss or big old bear hug never hurts either! Mom

With Thanksgiving coming up this week, it occurred to me that nearly every canvas that our customers order reflect their thankfulness! As you prepare the turkey and all the trimmings and get excited about mall sales the following day…don’t forget the real meaning of this blessed family holiday. And take time to tell those you love how thankful you are for them and why you love them so much!
Susan from Hermosa Beach, California asked us to create a canvas that showed us how much she appreciates her family. It was taken of
her entire family including all the grandkids on her father’s 100th birthday!
Then there’s this great art canvas we made for Bev that shows how thankful she is for a bright future a new little family member. “This is my son and new grandson, Ashton. It was one of those moments that you catch and are so thankful you did!”
And while Bev was thankful for the future of that new grandson, another customer, Glenda indicates how important her ancestors are to her life. “This is a 1903 wedding picture of my grandparents, which I shared at the 83rd annual family reunion. The canvas was a hit and generated plenty of discussion about our family history. And the group at Canvas on Demand was great, very helpful with details and suggestions that made the canvas exactly what we wanted it to be.”
I was especially touched by a canvas we made for Kat from San Benito, Texas. She is very proud of her mother who is a marvelous role model of strength and perseverance. She told us that the photo “symbolizes the true face of courage. My mom is continuing with her battle against cancer, and so far, she is doing very well! She has been so strong!”
A customer named Bradley had a canvas created for his wife of 18 years, Pamela. “She is the love of my life and
my best friend. This photo was taken in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii before my deployment to Iraq. It is one of my wife’s favorites of me and our two children.” All of us are at Canvas on Demand give thanks for those who risk their lives daily to keep us free and safe!
I hope these canvas examples inspire you this Thanksgiving to really count all your blessings. And as you gather with family and friends, snap a few photos to capture those precious moments. You never know; one of them may end up hanging as a lovely family heirloom canvas in your home!
As for those of us at Canvas on Demand—we are thankful for many, many blessings, but especially for all our wonderful customers. Mom

Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. Now is the time to contemplate all the things in life that are meaningful. And how about honoring those things by letting us create an heirloom canvas of those favorite image?
Are you thankful for family? Akeem selected a marvelous image of her dearest ones that captured outstanding patterns, colors, and family smiles.
Are you tha
nkful for your heritage? Images like the one we made into a canvas for Paulette from Rochester, Minnesota, remind us of our lineage. “This is a high School graduation photo of my grandmother, Leone, taken in 1908. It is an incredible image and one I will cherish forever. Your customer service and the photo’s restoration rendered a finished product that is absolutely beautiful!”
Are you thankful for your freedom? Lizette from Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania is! “I just opened my shipment and got chills when I first looked at it. Now I am in tears! This is my husband inside a stryker vehicle in Iraq. You guys are awesome. I love the flag you used as a background. I can’t wait until my husband sees it. Thank you, thank you!”
Are you thankful for the future? This is Kendall, our customer Joanne’s first born. “I can’t imagine a more perfect moment! This is hanging on my bedroom wall and makes me wake up with a smile every day!”

If you’re thinking about a Thanksgiving canvas for yourself or some else, now is the time to order.
Let the Thanksgiving blessings begin! Mom
