Every now and then, I like to take an opportunity to remind our readers about the choices they have when ordering from Canvas on Demand.
Let’s begin by discussing Gallery Wrapped vs. Framed canvases. Gallery Wrapped means that your canvas is actually stretched around the side of the frame. That edge of the canvas can be an extension of the image or a solid color as shown belown. The choice is yours!

Or if perhaps you like the idea of a framed canvas, you also have several options. You can choose from several traditional styles like the ones pictured here…

Or if you prefer a more contemporary look, you can try our Floating Frames. They add a modern touch to your canvas photo. A 1.5” gallery wrap is inset, leaving a 3/8” space between the canvas and frame. Choose between four different finishes as you see below.

After making those decisions, you can make choices about the actual “appearance” of your image. If you chose photo-realistic, your finished canvas will look just like your photo. But perhaps you are looking for an effect that appears to be brush stroked and softer. Then Pixel Painted is the way you would want to go.

If you are anything like me, you love choices, and at Canvas on Demand we give you plenty! In my next article, I will discuss a few more options that just might surprise you. Mom

Want to add a new variance to your digital image? How about creating a feeling of BIG? Looking to add some humor or a totally offbeat perspective? Why not try a cleaver angle. Shooting from a high or low angle can give your photo a wonderful and unique dimension.
For example, Debi saw an opportunity for a great angle when she walked around a lighthouse in St. Augustine. “The photo that you put on canvas for me was taken in March in St. Augustine FLA. I was in the St. Augustine Lighthouse and the photograph just hit me….because, as I looked up to the top, the lines were just amazing. It is one of my favorite photographs. And WOW…the service, communication, and product was STELLAR! I would recommend this service to anyone. It’s worth the price, and the price is very affordable for the final product.” Thanks so much for those kind words, Debi. Now let me compliment YOU. This is a fabulous photo…and all because you took the time to look for an interesting angle! Even as compellingly simple as Mindy’s image of a fence and sand is, she found a great angle! She told us that it was taken in Pensacola, Florida with a regular digital camera. What a difference the right angle makes! |
|

Kelly was quite pleased with her shot that we at Canvas on Demand converted to a canvas wall hanging. “I took the photo of the Brooklyn Bridge from a great angle under the Bridge on the Brooklyn side. The super imposed image of the two men in the picture came from a digital still shot from a TV commercial of the two guys.” She purchased three different canvases from us at the same time. That’s the sort of return customer that we take great pride in. Thanks for coming back, Kelly.

And what do you think of this outrigger photographed by our customer named Ted? He told us he took the picture in Indonesia. Again, a great angle with spectacular colors, Ted!

Then finally, I want to share this canvas we made for Janet. It’s of the San Antonio River Walk. She wanted a piece of artwork for a spare bedroom, so she had one of her own photos converted to canvas. “What a pop of color for my very neutral bedroom!” She went on to tell us her experience with Canvas on Demand: “You guys did a great job! I submitted 2 photos and you let me know which one would come out the best as far as clarity goes. You advised me to go with the thicker canvas, which I am SO glad I did. Quality is fantastic! And you were super fast getting it done. This is what you do, and you do it very well! I will highly recommend you!”

So the next time you capture a terrific image, consider the angle. Walk around side, below, climb up above, or stretch out on your back. Remember that your angle can make all the difference! Mom

We at Canvas on Demand see so much love in canvases that our customers order. Love shines through in images of babies, children, pets, ancestors, weddings, etc.
For example, Jill asked us to create a canvas wall hanging of her parents that was taken 70 years ago. She told us: “The photo 70 years old. It’s of my parents at a Sunday School picnic when they were dating in 1941. I had it done for my Mother’s 86th birthday. Daddy died two years ago, after 67 years and one week of marriage to Mother. This is going to be a special treasure for her. When I opened the package today and saw the finished canvas for the first time, I stood and cried. It moved me. It took my breath away. You did such incredible work: touching up some flaws in the original photo, adjusting the contrast of the black and white photo just enough to make it sharp while maintaining the appearance of an aged photo. You helped me select the perfect size frame to retain the most of the picture. And finally, you made sure it arrived in time for Mother’s birthday! When I ordered this canvas, I had no idea just how lovely it would be. I send you blessings and thanks from my heart.” Jill, thanks so much for those kind words. This canvas is a heartwarming, and I can only imagine how blessed your mother is by your gift.
We often hear that a dog is man’s best friend. Well, this loving canvas of a dog and his master proves it. Carol, our customer who placed the order, explained it to us. “This is Chris and Harley just before her first Christmas with us. After we rescued her earlier in the year, she went through a huge transformation from a neglected, sickly little pup to this wonderful, vibrant bully. We just had to capture her first holiday season as part of our family. This photo is Chris’s favorite, so I had it made into a canvas and gave it to him for his 35th birthday. We couldn’t be happier with it. This is my husband’s favorite picture of them. He mentioned how much he would like to have it enlarged and framed. So, I did even better and had it created into a gallery canvas. I surprised him with it as a birthday present. He was speechless! We couldn’t get over the detail and quality. Job well done, Canvas on Demand! We look forward to preserving more memories with you.” Indeed! That’s exactly what we love—preserving memories for our customers.

Ann made me smile when she posted this testimonial to our Customer Showcase. How precious are these two little boys! Ann said, “They are my grandsons. I did a canvas wrap for the oldest of the two when he was newborn on the same bedspread. Now I am adding this one to the collection. I like that I can order a custom size. So easy to upload and order. Thanks!”

Now I think I’ll end this post with a lovely traditional poster that exemplifies LOVE—a wedding canvas. Melissa sent in the order and told us: “This is the happy couple! Love the photo. Love the customer service. Love the canvas. Thank you so much for your professionalism and kindness.”

We mark memorable moments in the lives of our children in myriad ways—parties, celebrations, banners, balloons…and of course, photos. So often those amazing images that remind us of some special event in our child’s life get tucked into a drawer, a box, or an album. But why not showcase those extraordinary mementoes by letting us at Canvas on Demand create an heirloom to hang on your home or office wall for all to see? I have a friend who has turned her hallway into a family wall of fame marking the children’s births and birthdays and awards and graduations and marriages. Here are just a few such canvases from our Customer Showcase that have marked the memorable moment for a few of our customers!
Claudine asked us to make a show-stopper canvas of her little 6 week old daughter. “She gets this real intense look in her eyes. It makes me wonder what she is thinking about. I was really impressed when I received the canvas. I ordered an 8×10. I will be ordering more and bigger ones to showcase all my special pictures. It’s totally worth it.” My point exactly, Claudine. I’m looking forward to seeing more from you.

I love this precious birthday shot that Amanda sent us. Her son, Brandon, will never have another first birthday! She told us: “The Canvas is so beautiful, and it is so clear for how large it is. I am sure happy I found this website! The service was great. The customer service rep was always quick to respond to any questions I had. I will definitely recommend your work to all my friends and family. Super quick too. Thanks!” We are so pleased that you are so pleased, Amanda!

Then as they grow, there are moments like graduations, trips, and first place ribbons…like the one Elaine captured with a photo and our staff turned to a canvas. “This is my son running JV Cross Country on his way to first place! I love Canvas on Demand. This is my 3rd order!!!”

And then the day may come all too soon when you give them away to their soul mate. Canvas on Demand specializes in wedding canvases. Customer Christine had this one made for her best friend’s wedding. “I wanted to get her something that would be meaningful! After seeing the Canvas on Demand website, I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity! The picture is gorgeous and she absolutely loves it! You folks were so easy to work with! When my picture quality was a little too low, they contacted me and asked me for a better copy. Even though the better quality picture that I sent was still low, the picture turned out absolutely perfect!! They even adjusted the size of the frame according to the picture, for free!! Thank you for your wonderful work and customer service.” I say often, Christine, that our goal is to exceed our customers’ expectation. Mission accomplished…AGAIN.

Mark the memorable moments! And showcase the best ones with a canvas wall hanging from Canvas on Demand. Mom

You know what keeps us all excited and energized here at Canvas on Demand? Our customer testimonials! I thought I’d share a few recent ones that really made our hearts sing.
Macy asked us to make this canvas of a well-established break dancing group from San Francisco. The photo was taken by Vivian Mak. They are known as the A1 Crew. Macy told us that A1 is “driven by their foundational philosophy of brotherhood and unity and that A1 aims to inspire the youth in individual creativity and self-expression, aspiring to uplift the form of dance.”
She went on to explain her customer experience with us. “Canvas on Demand was by far one of the best customer service experiences I have had with any online company. I had a handful of questions and concerns about my canvas and the representatives were extremely friendly and happy to help. I called the service line several times and never had to hold for longer than a few minutes for an operator. Additionally, due to the unusual dimensions of my uploaded picture, Canvas on Demand decided that the canvas would turn out best if upgraded to 16″x22″, instead of my ordered 16″x20″. They sent me an email that this would be done free of charge, which demonstrates the company’s foremost dedication to the quality of their work over monetary gain. I wanted to get my boyfriend a gift that was thoughtful and unique…and this was the perfect solution. The canvas turned out even more beautiful than I expected and my boyfriend is in love with it! I give Canvas on Demand my highest recommendation. I will certainly do business with you all again AND AGAIN in the future!
Wow, Macy, your words are really an honor to us! Thanks for taking the time to let us know your feelings. It means a lot to all of us here.

Angela decided to order a canvas of her dear grandmother, taken on her 92nd birthday. “We recently lost her. My Experience with Canvas on Demand was nothing short of stellar. The team was professional from the very beginning. I submitted the picture on Wednesday and received the canvas on Saturday. I opened the box and just cried. I cried tears of joy, because it was so beautifully done. My grandmother’s beauty and love came through that canvas, and I was just filled with such joy. Many thanks to the Canvas on Demand team. I think you guys are the best!!!” Angela, like you, I love the way photos can keep memories alive in our hearts. Thanks for sharing this testimonial.

Canvas on Demand is grateful to those who serve our country. Laura wanted a canvas made of her three sons who are in the Coast Guard. “I love Canvas on Demand. I have had over 2 dozen photos put on Canvas. I love all of them!” Over two dozen?! Thanks for being such a tremendous customer! And thanks especially for the great testimonial.

The last one I’m going to share today is about a little puppy named Bindi. Kathy wrote to us: “She was my beloved puppy that I had to put down due to congenital kidney problems. But in her short time, she brought such joy into my life. Looking at this portrait brings back a small measure of that happiness. And I had a wonderful experience with Canvas on Demand. It was one of many such experiences with them. It’s so easy to order. I get perfect and individual attention every time. If the image I send isn’t perfect, they call me to advise me what’s wrong and offer to fix it or give me an opportunity to fix the problem. They provide timely and personal attention. I’m a very happy customer.”
That is such a precious image of Bindi, Kathy. We are so glad we could provide you with it. Thanks to these customers for their testimonials; they really blessed us!

Twice this week I’ve experienced unexpected “joyful moments” regarding Canvas on Demand.
One day, I stopped at the small town of Worthington, Indiana, to go into a charming little house converted by two women into an antique and collectibles shop. I was looking around, and one of the women came bolting out of the backroom, which I learned later was a photography studio. “Canvas on Demand,” she shouted to her business partner. “I just saw that Canvas on Demand van out front.”
I’ve learned that it’s impossible to miss the canvas crazy van—especially in a small town like Worthington, so I spoke up: “That’s the van I drive,” I told her.
“I LOVE Canvas on Demand,” she began…as she launched into her stories regarding our company and the satisfaction of her customers. She showed me her studio and some of her wonderful pieces before I headed on down the road, leaving behind a gift card for her next purchase. I suggested that she consider signing up for our Canvas on Demand Pro for professional photographers like so many other resellers have done. And why not? We offer special prices, quality, speed, and a 100% guarantee. Here is an example of a professional canvas I saw on our site recently…
Mia Anez Photography and Designs sent in this testimony: This child just loves to dance, so I made a collage of some of the images I photographed. When I saw the canvas, I was very impressed by the quality. The image I sent was also centered nicely on the canvas. It was easy to order, and the canvas came in time for my art show. I would highly recommend their services.”

Then I saw this canvas that we made for Red Corduroy Media Group Photography. She told us: “This is an image I captured at a commercial shoot for children’s knit hats and accessories. Super fast. Super quick. The best Canvases ever in quality and price. They’re my new go-to Canvas folks!”

Two days later, I was driving through another small town–Clay City, Indiana, when my cell phone rang. I pulled to the curb right in the small downtown area to finish my call. A young woman came running out of a nearby business. “I’ve been trying to catch you each time I see you driving through town,” she told me. She went on to explain that she wanted a canvas to hang in the new restaurant that she and her husband were about to open, an eatery specializing in Mexican food. She was bubbling with excitement when, again, I was able to leave behind a gift card as I wished her well in her new endeavor. What better way to personalize your business!
So if you know of a pro photographer, tell them to check out our pro site at www.canvasondemand.com/professional.
And if you know a business owner who’d like to truly show the personality and culture of their business, send them our way! They can use our regular customer site for placing orders. Mom

In our last post, I began discussing some of Canvas on Demand’s options. I talked about the choices that customers have regarding their canvas edges, and I talked about frame selections. I also explained how to order a split canvas that separates your image into sections. And finally I encouraged you to consider the possibilities of a collage canvas.
Today, we will talk a bit about your options of touching-up, enhancing, or re-coloring a favorite image, as well as how you might create a spectacular wall display of canvases.
Did you know that we will—AT NO EXTRA CHARGE—remove date stamps, correct red eye, adjust sharpness, brightness, contrast, and color balance? Then for a small fee, we can also remove moles, scars, and facial blemishes, add text to a photo, whiten teeth, and fix small scratches. Additionally our art department is great at removing secondary objects like wires and poles. Did you get a wonderful shot at the family reunion, but you are disappointed that Aunt Ethel wasn’t there? We can add her to the image. Really!

Enhanced and re-colored photos are another of our specialties. If your favorite photo is less than perfect, simply ask us to re-touch it for you. Would you prefer that your blouse be red rather than pink? No problem. If you are not sure how best to change something, then in the comments, ask us to give you a call to review it all with you before we get started.
Like magic, we can change the color of your entire photo from color to black and white or sepia. Our artists know just what to do to make the canvas look sharp and rich, as if it was originally photographed that way.

I especially love it when customers create wall displays of numerous canvases. Our designers have created 12 different ways to arrange canvases to create such a wall display. It’s a great way to tell a story with gallery-wrapped canvases. And they are a great way to save money too, because wall displays are 20% cheaper than if those same canvases were purchased separately.

So if you’re a person who likes lots of choices, you’ve come to the right place at Canvas on Demand. We are here to exceed your expectations. And keep in mind that we offer a 100% guarantee with every order. Mom

At Canvas on Demand, we try to make it easy to decorate your space with beautiful canvas prints of the people who are special to you. And what is more special than a baby? Ordering your baby canvas online is as easy as one, two, three.
ONE—This first canvas is of one precious little Gift from God as his mother calls him. “It is a picture of my two-week-old son, Zion. He is sleeping like an angel and wrapped in a beautiful blue bow. The service you gave me was excellent. Your website had all the information needed and in lots of detail. I can tell by other customer comments that many are as pleased as I am.”

TWO—“This photo is of our twin daughters at 10.5 months. We shot it for a contest at work, and ended up loving it so much that we wanted to have a canvas made for the nursery. This is our second canvas from you, and we love it. Both times, we received excellent and prompt service. We plan to order more in the future.”

THREE—Our staff created this sweet photo of Cam, Jordan, and Keith from a photo that their mother, Denise, took right after their tubby. She told us in her testimonial: “When I saw the website, I wasn’t so sure that the finished product was going to be as good you made it seem. Well in a way I was right. It was so much better than you claimed!!! I actually had this same photo enlarged (by another company) for my husband’s birthday last year, and it came out awful. I figured I would give you guys a shot, and I am so glad I did! The canvas came out beautiful! I almost cried when I saw it. Thank you so much for doing a great job.”

It gives us great joy to hear such wonderful remarks from our customers. Thanks to these three who agree that the process is as easy as ONE, TWO, THREE! Mom

Great expectations! I am writing this post as I await a visit from my middle granddaughter who is 7-years-old. She and her dad flew in from out of state yesterday, and she will be with me while her dad is in meetings for a few days. I am so excited! As I was looking through canvases preparing to write this, it is no wonder that I was drawn to all the beautiful little girls today.
This photo sent to us by Elizabeth made me smile, and I am sure it will do the same for you! How delightful is that little face? Her mom told us: “This is fantastic! I wanted the realistic, but they called to tell me it was blurry so they were accommodating to digitize it! A beautiful gift for my daughter!” I know she will cherish this gift for many years, Elizabeth.”

Don’t you love the colors and expression in this next canvas we created for Erica? “This was taken at a farm we go to every year. Gabrielle had just turned 3-years old. I am honored to give a testimony for Canvas on Demand. I literally could not say enough good things about you. I have been so happy with everything. The quality, the fast service, and how carefully you packaged up my canvas. There have been so many times I have ordered things online and when the box arrives at my door, it looks as though someone has run it over or already tried to open it. I am picky. I worked for several years at photo labs so I know about color density. You have done such a fabulous job in this area. Photography is my passion. I have many images I want to have made into canvases. You will definitely have my business for many years to come.” Wow, Erica, words like that make me and our staff truly very proud to work here every day! Thanks so much for sharing those thoughts!

Julie told us that this photo of her daughter, Taylor, was taken at a local lake in Tennessee. She really liked the way the lighting and the water played out in the photo, and she wanted to see it on canvas. When it arrived she was pleased. “I am already looking for my next photo to have turned to a canvas.”

Can you believe the eyes on this next little blond? Her mother calls this canvas Magic. “I love it so much, I had to put it in her room forever! I’m saddened by the greed in this country, and it’s good to see a company that cares!”
I will close with this gem below of a 3-year-old girl named Aspasia. Her mother captured a fabulous shot of her with the garden hose. In her testimony she told us how happy she was. “I was very happy with the price, quality, and the fast delivery from Canvas on Demand. I will love to do business with you guys again!

Thanks to the customers who shared these wonderful stories of their canvases. Now I am about to go make a story of my own with my precious little granddaughter who is on her way to my place right now. Mom

One of my favorite styles in canvases is a collage. When I just can’t decide on one image, I usually decide on several…all on one canvas. Customer Jackie thinks just like me. She said, “I absolutelycherish the wonderful photos we had taken last fall as we enjoyed a beautiful day and had such a fun time. A collage is the perfect way to showcase these treasures! The quality and service is remarkable! Thank you so much Canvas on Demand! I’ll be sure to recommend you to friends and family!”
That’s what we love to hear—satisfied customers who are spreading the word. Thanks Jackie

Then Becca decided to do a little Photoshop project that features her paternal grandmother. “This is of Georgie, and of many photos of mygrandparents and extended family. After scanning a large selection of family photos, I created this composite as a way to feature and display them.” What a great way, Becca, to collectively honor somany at once! She went on to say: “I am very happy with the quality of my finished product. This is my first experience with a canvas wrap, and I was worried that the texture or process might blur some of the photographic detail. Canvas on Demand answered my questions regarding color profiles and file prep. The finished product is everything I could have hoped for!”
Jerry asked us to create a collage canvas of her mom and dad. “ It took some time trying to decide which photos to use to express our entire family. This Canvas is like a family tree. Us, our children, and their children…along with my husband’s mother. We were impressed with the quality of our Canvas and all the options when putting it together. It was fun and easy. We have had lots of compliments on it.”

And finally, what do you think of this one by Fred? “These are moments in the life of my family. A collage of favorite thoughts. Ifound all your service representatives helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous.”

So the next time you’re having trouble deciding which photo to use…use them ALL and order a collage from Canvas on Demand! Mom
