Love Stories on Canvas

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

One of my favorite pastimes is looking at the canvases that our customers order.  Because I’m planning on giving a canvas away as a Valentine gift, I’ve really been tuned in to orders that seem to say: I love you!

Joanne has ordered several canvases from Canvas on Demand, but this one is my favorite!  It’s of her little bundle of love, Kendall.  She tells us that this canvas hangs on her bedroom wall and causes her to wake up every  morning with a smile. I understand, Joanne.  I haven’t stopped smiling since I first saw it!

Another customer, Christy, asked us to create this canvas of a little girl named Peyton.  Now what a lovely Valentine that young lady is!  I can only image how many folks in her family would love one of those.

Does anything say LOVE better than a wedding? I don’t know if this was actually a Valentine wedding, but the image has love written all over it.  The bride’s father, Don, ordered it and was very pleased: I just want to say that we love that canvas. We appreciate you providing your expertise on size and finish. This is the second canvas we had created from the same wedding set.  And we made sure to let others know about you. Thank you!  Don

If your favorite Valentine has four legs, you’ll love this one belonging to a  customer named Teddi.  This was our beautiful, gentle therapy dog, Skye.  She will be forever missed…but is wonderfully immortalized on our canvas.

Now that’s a love story!

Order a Valentine canvas today for someone you love.  Richard Bach said that true love stories never have endings. At Canvas on Demand, we say that true love stories never have endings when they are created on canvas.  Mom

Glimpses of Greatness

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

Countries take great pride in having the tallest, the biggest, and the most unusual.  I am leaving on a long six-month backpacking trip around the globe this coming March 1st.  (Stay tuned for more on that trek in this blog!)  But one of the things I anticipate on that adventure is seeing some remarkable record-setters—like the world’s tallest building in Dubai and the longest escalator in Hong Kong.  So I suppose it stands to reason that this canvas below, which we created for a customer named Meghan, caught my attention.  The Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia are the tallest twin buildings on planet earth.  Meghan wrote to tell us that she loved the service and prompt delivery she enjoyed at Canvas on Demand.  In her words it was “an awesome experience”!

And just read about the experience that another customer, Ronald, had when he photographed the canvas shown below:

“Glimpses of Greatness.  A trip to Spain to see and touch for myself the genius of Gehry’s architecture as manifest in the Guggenhein Bilbao.  It was like a pilgrimage to the pyramids in their prime.  As I drew nearer the looming presence, the structure envelops the spirit, quickens the pace, heightens the anticipation, deepens the experience of greatness in the present.  Thanks, Canvas on Demand.  Your company is professional, customer friendly, renders  high quality result!”

While We’re on the Funky Topic…

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Hey Mom, while we’re on the topic of fun and funky, let me throw one of my favorites out there too.  Isn’t it remarkable the things our customers find interesting to photograph?  A gas cap!  Don’t you love it?  Joe

Timelines and Seasons

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Nothing marks the seasons of life like photos.  We may miss the transitions as we live in the midst of them, but isn’t it fascinating how we can look back at precious snapshots taken over the decades and see the clearly defined timelines of our lives?   If you’re like me, you see photos as your personal journal, your story, your biography, your heritage.  What better way to honor our present than to preserve our past?  And what better way to preserve those memories than on a canvas from Canvas on Demand!  The canvases below are examples—babies, weddings, midlife, and the golden years—of the stages of life.  Let’s keep those memories alive.  Mom

Chris from Salem, Oregon:  This photo is of my granddaughter, Alani. It was taken when she was about one year old. She is the most adorable baby ever and this photo really shows her sweet face. I had it put on a canvas as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife, Alani’s parents.

Andrea from Hickory Hills, Illinois:  This photo was taken of us right after the wedding. We love it, and I showed everyone at work when it was delivered. They all loved it too. We are already planning which photo to put on canvas next.

Jennifer from Haller, Arizona:  We wanted to have a canvas wall art that had more than one photo on it because it was sooooo hard to choose only one favorite photo to put onto canvas. The collage idea was just what we were looking for!

Michelle from Fredricksburg, Virginia:  This is a canvas of my 91 year old grandma. To me she still looks so beautiful.  This captures her true features that can be remembered forever.

Lights. Action. Canvas!

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

While many ask their subjects to pose for the camera, others love capturing the action.

Bruce from Jackson, Tennessee, for example caught the hardcore action at the Indy 500 when a car in the pit area caught on fire.  Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries, and Bruce ended up an exciting one-of-a-kind canvas.  He told us, “This was another great job by Canvas on Demand. I have ordered several canvas photo prints from you, and your products and your service have always been excellent”.

Another great action shot was taken by Jen from Abingdon, Illinois.  She caught a wonderful shot of her daughters on the beach.  “It was the first time my youngest had ever seen the beach. I loved how she was running here, and how all three of them enjoyed being sisters and playing together. It is a moment I will truly never forget. Canvas on Demand brought the moment to life for me again. As it hangs in my dining room, I smile each time I see it, and so does everyone else.  Thank you, Canvas on Demand!

When you put kids and water together, there’s always terrific opportunities to snap movement as Richard from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan proves to us.  “These are six of my grandchildren jumping off a raft. All the children were actually in the air when I took aim.  Your company is great.   The canvas was an anniversary present for my wife, who loved the original print. She is extremely pleased and proud of the canvas you prepared. It’s hanging over our mantle. Great job.”

Seize the moment; grab the excitement; capture the action.  Then order a canvas of your favorite shot!  Mom
