Let’s Talk Choices…Again

Friday, November 16th, 2012

Every now and then, I like to take an opportunity to remind our readers about the choices they have when ordering from Canvas on Demand.

Let’s begin by discussing Gallery Wrapped vs. Framed canvases.  Gallery Wrapped means that your canvas is actually stretched around the side of the frame.  That edge of the canvas can be an extension of the image or a solid color as shown belown.  The choice is yours!

Or if perhaps you like the idea of a framed canvas, you also have several options.  You can choose from several traditional styles like the ones pictured here…

Or if you prefer a more contemporary look, you can try our Floating Frames.  They add a modern touch to your canvas photo.  A 1.5” gallery wrap is inset, leaving a 3/8” space between the canvas and frame. Choose between four different finishes as you see below.

After making those decisions, you can make choices about the actual “appearance” of your image.  If you chose photo-realistic, your finished canvas will look just like your photo.  But perhaps you are looking for an effect that appears to be brush stroked and softer.  Then Pixel Painted is the way you would want to go.

If you are anything like me, you love choices, and at Canvas on Demand we give you plenty!  In my next article, I will discuss a few more options that just might surprise you.  Mom

Do You Know Your Options?

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012

My posts generally showcase some of our customers amazing canvases, but every now and then I like to remind our readers about some of the great options they have when placing an order. First let me emphasize that there are some things that simply are not optional at Canvas on Demand…like our five-star customer service, free consultations, and quick delivery.  But there are a number of choices that will allow you to end up with a canvas that is absolutely and uniquely YOURS!

For example, you can select not only our standard gallery-wrap canvases but you can also pick from one of our great choices of frames.  Or you can decide on having a final image that is exactly like your photo or ask us to give it lovely brush strokes just as if it had been painted by an artist.  And did you know that your final image can be split into several sections for an interesting wall display?   To learn more about these unique possibilities and more, visit our OPTIONS page by clicking here… http://www.canvasondemand.com/options/canvas-gallery-wrap/ and you may be surprised at all the prospects!

It is always nice to have choices, isn’t it?  Mom

Canvas on Demand Offers Endless Possibilities

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Do you realize how many choices you have when you order a canvas from us?   Choices are good, but what is even better is that Canvas on Demand’s Customer Service Team is as close as a toll-free phone call if you need help making those choices!

Once you decide which favorite image you want turned to an awesome art canvas, there are a number of options.  You can choose the size; you can decide if you want your canvas gallery-wrapped or framed (check out our lovely assortment); and you can opt for one of two styles—PixelPainting™ or PhotoRealistic™.

PixelPainting™ canvases are created by using a specialized tablet and stylus that allow us to create brushstrokes by hand to give a beautiful painterly effect.

Choose PhotoRealistic™ when you want to maintain the integrity of the original image. Our artists evaluate your image then balance and enhance the color.  They also adjust the sharpness and contrast levels accordingly and even repair minor imperfections in order to optimize the image, making your canvas look like the original subject.

I had to laugh at an email I received yesterday from a customer named Brenda who said her canvas was so realistic that her dog thought it was REAL!

I received my Canvas on Demand order today.  AWESOME!!  I LOVE IT!!  Thanks so much for being so particular about the photo quality, and for the email and phone call to get it just right.  I will be coming back for more.  It was totally fun!  My dog was actually barking at the picture of himself today after it arrived.  It was hilarious!  Now I just need to get a canvas of my other dog made!  Thanks so much!  Brenda

Just think of all the possibilities…and visit our website for more ideas and choices.  Mom

Five Ways to Make the Best Choices about Your Canvas Print

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

Q. So many sizes and prices, frame or no frame,  PhotoRealistic or  PixelPainting! I’m getting ready to place an order, but with all these choices, how do I know what’s best for me?

A. (From Tom)   We really enjoy giving our customers plenty of choices when it comes to turning their favorite photo to canvas, because we want it to be something they will cherish for years to come.   But we also understand that making the right choice can be difficult–especially if you are a first-time customer.   Here are five simple tips to help.

  1. Consider your budget.   At Canvas on Demand, we have selections to fit any budget–from a smaller, gallery-wrapped canvas to hang over your office desk to a spectacular wall exhibit that tells the big story of your family or business.   Just go to the Canvas on Demand website and select prices and sizes.   Remember to check out our special deals like getting the second identical canvas of the same image at half the cost!   (A money-saving idea if you want to keep one and give the other as a gift!)   And don’t forget that we will touch up  some minor defects and enhance your image at no  additional charge–like removing date stamps and  red eye or sharpening contrast and correcting color balance.
  2. Think about the effect you desire.   If you are wanting a softer, gentler look with an artist’s brushstroke effect, you might consider PixelPainting rather than PhotoRealistic.     You might also want us to change the background of your image.
  3. Decide where your canvas  will hang.   Perhaps you prefer a gallery-wrap; but then again, one advantage to ordering a frame is that you can coordinate your canvas with the room’s style (traditional or contemporary)  and the  other finishes  in your decor.   We offer four premium frames.    We also offer a standard black frame with a satin finish and a contemporary square profile.
  4. Visit the Customer Showcase on our website.   That’s where you will see all the creative ideas  other customers have tried.   You’ll be able to read their comments  and  testimonials and learn what they have to say about the images and options they selected.
  5. Finally and most importantly, take advantage of our acclaimed customer service department!   We are very proud of each of our service representatives.   They are friendly, knowledgeable, and standing ready during regular business hours to walk you through every step and to answer every question.     You can talk personally to them by phone or chat with them online.

I hope these suggestions help you make the choices that are right for you.   Afterall…our goal is to know that you are absolutely delighted when your order arrives!   Tom
