Look! Someone Decorated the Baby!

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Baby canvases.  They are among my very favorites.  Whether those images capture them right after their bath, dressed in sweet pink or powder blue outfits…or decorated.  Yes, decorated.  I often chuckle at the ornaments the family uses.  Like the way that one of our customers, Barbara, put a butterfly on Miss Presley’s head.

Now Shannon mixed a tutu and boots to make a great canvas.  She tells us “that the guys at Canvas on Demand are great, helpful, and friendly.  I was thrilled.  I am so happy I found them!”  And we are so happy you found us too, Shannon.

Natalie proves that sometimes it takes something as simple as a flower. “This is my daughter’s 6 month professional photo.  I had 5 taken in her first year…and they all hang together on a large gallery wall in our home.”  Now that’s a proud mother!  She goes on to say:  “This was my first experience with Canvas on Demand and having 5 pictures was a significant investment.  I was a little nervous to do something like this online.  But it was so worth it! I’m glad I made that decision.” A tiara is the perfect enhancement for this little princess, Avery Jane.  Her mom tells us that she “has worked with Canvas On Demand for several years and always looks forward to the finished project, because it’s always such a beautiful keepsake!”  Thanks for those kind words, Pamela!

Petrina put a bow on her little angel, Zion.  “He is my precious Gift from God. I took this when he was two week old.  He is sleeping like an angel, wrapped in a beautiful blue bow.”

And finally, Heather’s image of her week-old daughter is fabulous.  “We love the contrast of the colorful blocks against the black and white image. We can’t stop looking at it. I ordered a 16×20 print, but Canvas on Demand was quick to let me know that a larger size (14×24) would work better. To top it off, they honored the original size pricing.

So there you have a new idea.  Get out the old camera and the new baby and do a little decorating!  Mom

One, Two, Three…Macro!

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

When I was a child, our local newspaper had a puzzle right next to the crosswords that challenged us to guess: What’s this photo? It was a macro shot of a common image like driveway gravel or a pine cone or someone’s nose.  It was fun, but it certainly was not art.

At Canvas on Demand, we often see macro images that are both fun and art.  Today macro photography allows us to appreciate details on canvas that our eyes are not capable of seeing.  Here are a few of my favorites that I hope will inspire you to…get ready; get set; zoom!  Mom

Wendy from Randolph, New Jersey, had us turn this photo to canvas.  “This is a photo of a dahlia that I grew in my garden.  It was taken by my husband. We had it blown up to a2 ft x 3ft canvas, and it hangs over our bed as an anniversary present to each other.  The service was fantastic and the final canvas photo enlargement is out of this world.  The detail, even at that large size is unbelievable– so clear and crisp; yet, on canvas, it looks like an incredible painting.”

Kate from Las Vegas, Nevada, said this about her macro. “ This was an ‘art house’ type of image…no people involved, a macro shot using a selective focus technique. It is a monotone of sea shells.  Your service was brilliant! So in the end, my order was a large triptych (60″ x 90″) of a macro, selective focus, monotone, shot where overall exposure, highlights, shadows and texture were very important. The team at Canvas on Demand was very helpful and responsive to my concerns, and the finished product is fabulous. This canvas photo really makes a statement! I can unhesitatingly recommend them.”

Bill from Tempe, Arizona, asked us to enlarge this image of a Brazilian Agate which he photographed in macro mode.  “I love what Mother Nature has done with these one-of-a-kind agates and the creative image they portray. I photograph numerous types of beautiful agates and have them printed onto canvas which creates a very nice piece of giclee artwork to hang anywhere in the home or office.   I was amazed at the quality I received from Canvas on Demand and plan to use them for all my canvas prints.”

Lights. Action. Canvas!

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

While many ask their subjects to pose for the camera, others love capturing the action.

Bruce from Jackson, Tennessee, for example caught the hardcore action at the Indy 500 when a car in the pit area caught on fire.  Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries, and Bruce ended up an exciting one-of-a-kind canvas.  He told us, “This was another great job by Canvas on Demand. I have ordered several canvas photo prints from you, and your products and your service have always been excellent”.

Another great action shot was taken by Jen from Abingdon, Illinois.  She caught a wonderful shot of her daughters on the beach.  “It was the first time my youngest had ever seen the beach. I loved how she was running here, and how all three of them enjoyed being sisters and playing together. It is a moment I will truly never forget. Canvas on Demand brought the moment to life for me again. As it hangs in my dining room, I smile each time I see it, and so does everyone else.  Thank you, Canvas on Demand!

When you put kids and water together, there’s always terrific opportunities to snap movement as Richard from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan proves to us.  “These are six of my grandchildren jumping off a raft. All the children were actually in the air when I took aim.  Your company is great.   The canvas was an anniversary present for my wife, who loved the original print. She is extremely pleased and proud of the canvas you prepared. It’s hanging over our mantle. Great job.”

Seize the moment; grab the excitement; capture the action.  Then order a canvas of your favorite shot!  Mom

Special Delivery by Canvas on Demand

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Nothing says LOVE like the delivery of a new baby!   I couldn’t resist sharing these precious little images and the testimonials that accompanied them.

Baby-montageStaci from Greenacres, Florida had us create this montage of her 2-month old baby girl. It shows her beautiful face, along with the many little precious parts of her body.   The canvas print came out amazing. Our goal was to have something to always remember how small our third and final baby is… and this canvas couldn’t be more perfect!

Baby-at-bathtimeMichael in Selden, New York explained, “I refer to this canvas as Bath Time, a picture of my son when he was 16 months old.   My wife had just dried him off.   This gallery wrapped canvas is absolutely beautiful. The detail, the quality, absolutely everything about it is breathtaking. I purchased this for my wife as a gift.   As soon as they arrived in the mail, I couldn’t contain my excitement or keep this a secret any longer.   She cried just cried when she saw it. It ranked right up there with one of her all time greatest gifts ever!! I cannot thank you enough…for your kindness, patience and just sheer dedication to making people happy. You truly are a class act.   I will be using your company frequently using in the near future and also recommend you to others.   I know others who order from you will be singing your praises as well!!! Thanks again so very much.

Baby-in-the-blue-blanketMarge from Marietta, Ohio told us about his picture on canvas of her first grandson. “He was seven months old in this picture. I could not have been happier with the outcome of this picture. It truly is beauty on canvas. Thanks for the extra care and packaging.”

Someone once said that a baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankrolls smaller, homes happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.   And I would add that they also make the best canvases!     Mom
