Summer Plus Family Equals FUN!

Wednesday, June 27th, 2012

This last week marked the beginning of summer.  I was camping with family, and we celebrated the longest day of the year.  It was nearly 10pm before it was dark enough for a campfire and s’mores!  I love this season.  This morning, as I shuffled my way through our Customer Showcase of summer family canvases, I realized what a combo it is to team up family with summer!

Karen sent us this photo, one that actually cooled me off just looking at it.  She snapped it of her family sitting on the rocks in La Jolla.  “GREAT experience working with Canvas on Demand! Researched ALL other places, but I kept returning to Canvas on Demand! Quick turnaround and terrific customer service. The girl called me to make sure I wanted pixel painting.  After she explained it to me, I realized that she was right, and I didn’t want it.  I was refunded my money for that feature immediately. I will use you again, and I am not so easy to please!”  Well, Karen, I am happy to know that we met or exceeded your expectations.  That is always our goal.

Mary picked a perfect opportunity to get a photo suited for a terrific canvas.  She explained it to us in her testimonial.  This photo was taken on a rare occasion to have my mom from Cleveland, my two sisters and my cousin from Indianapolis, my brother from California, and my cousin from New York visiting us in Savannah for a few days. We went to Tybee Island and although swimming wasn’t on our agenda, with kids, what are you going to do? Grandma said it was ok to go in the ocean…and well, I happened to get this picture! I have been in love with that moment ever since I saw it.  My mom told me it was one of her favorite all time photos, so I sent canvases to her, my sister and my brother who were in the picture.  The quality is fabulous and well, the service even better.  I’d done some work in Photoshop on the picture, but when I sent that image to be put on canvas, it didn’t look very good. I called and explained what had happened, and you fixed the picture and re-did the canvases for me. I couldn’t believe it. The corrected ones were fabulous.”  Yes, indeed, FABULOUS!  I can’t tell you how much I enjoy hearing the STORIES behind our customers’ canvases.

Isn’t this sweet generational canvas that we created for Lois wonderful? It is of her with her two sisters with their 80-year-old mother. “My mother passed away suddenly and so this picture now is truly ART for me, just a perfect way to remember always this happy summer day! The service was awesome, fabulous, the work of magical elves. We are so happy to be REPEAT customers!

Unlike the previous canvases in this post, this last one was taken smack in the midst of the big city of Chicago.  We loved this picture, because it shows a lot about our personalities and character.  Let me say that the customer service I received from COD was beyond OUTSTANDING! The canvas that I ordered wasn’t the correct fit, so you actually made it bigger….and at NO CHARGE! I couldn’t believe it! The product was amazing. We are definitely customers for life!”

Now go and enjoy some summer fun with your family…and take along your camera!  Mom

Little Water-logged Water Dogs!

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

One of the best things about warm weather heading our way, is that children can take to the water.

I happened to notice several great canvases of kids having water fun today and decide to showcase a few.  Patricia asked us to create a canvas of her son, Colman in Hawaii.  “We were swimming when a group of green sea turtles came along and started riding the waves with us. It was an unforgettable moment, and I was so happy to capture it on film.  I love Canvas on Demand. This was the third and best photo I had you guys transform into a beautiful piece of art. The photo was taken underwater, so the clarity was not the best.  But you worked your magic and as you can see, it is beautiful. I highly recommend Canvas on Demand! Excellent to work with and fast turn-around. Thank you.”   Thanks for a wonderful image and a great story, Patricia!

Kevin captured a wonderful image of a boy named Eddie who was catching a wave in Carpinteria.  Kevin told us, “The first picture we sent in wasn’t of good enough quality so your people called and suggested we not use it.  We sent another, and it turned out great. It’s now hanging over his bed. Great service.”   We want to exceed your expectations.  So pleased you are satisfied, Kevin.

Nick sent us this image of of a young man swimming frestyle in the 100 yard freestyle at Badger Aquatics Club in Madison, Wisconsin.  “The service was amazing. Excellent product and even better packaging…no way that canvas could have been damaged. Great care!”

If you like to see action on canvas, this next one is an amazing example.  Thanks for sharing it with us, Jen.  I love hearing the stories behind the canvases.  “On the last day of school, we took our daughter to the lake.  And managed to capture her sheer joy about the starting of summer—all in one jump!  We were thrilled with our purchase and love this great work of art.”

Grandchildren, Flowers, and Summer

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Grandchildren and flowers and summer go together beautifully.  And these canvases prove it.

Texas Wildflowers

Judy snapped this one in a field of Texas wildflowers.  “It’s my granddaughter.  “A friend told me about Canvas on Demand.   I loved this picture and had it put on canvas for her mother’s  birthday. She loved it. I couldn’t believe the service.  Not only were you very friendly but you offered discounts.  The delivery time was unbelievable too–5 days from order to receipt. The quality is wonderful.”

A customer named Elenor sent us a photo of her two grandsons.  “Loden was 3 ½ and Reece was 1 ½.  It was taken in the spring when the flowers were in bloom.  It had so much color, and the boys were touching the flowers.  The service was a 10!”

Teresa told us: “This is my granddaughter, Landyn Juliet! We took her to this garden, and she had a great time.  See the twinkle in her eyes. I loved this photo of her, and thought it would make a good canvas.  Ordering was easy, and I was able to send the photo file directly to Canvas On Demand. Once they began work on my order, they determined that a different format would be better suited for my picture. They upgraded this work complementary. The canvas arrived in perfect condition and with excellent packaging. I will definitely use your company again.

Grandmothers, are you inspired?  Now grab that camera and those precious grandkids and head to the garden.  The flowers are in bloom!  Mom

Fire and Ice

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

My last post spoke of the snow and ice and subzero temperatures across the Midwest last week.  Thursday, I leave for the lovely Central American coastal town of Punta Gorda, Belize.  I was thinking that the transition would feel as different as fire and ice! And as I shuffled through our customer showcase, I saw canvases that portrayed those very feelings.

For example, there is this canvas of a house on fire vs. the one below of a house covered with ice and snow.

“My boyfriend and I are both volunteer firefighters, and if you know a firefighter, none of us like getting the same old fire themed blanket, shirt, hat, etc.

I needed a birthday gift for him that would be like nothing else he had. This picture is from the first fire we worked together.  This is the second time I’ve used Canvas on Demand, and both times I have been truly satisfied. Canvas on Demand is quick, affordable, and so easy to use.”

“My photo was a snowy, winter shot of a house belonging to friends who recently moved down south. A group of us wanted to give them something special to remember their former home and friends.

Not being the most techno savvy person in the world, I was a bit reluctant to get involved in a process that involved downloading pictures etc. Your service rep couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful in terms of talking me through the order.”

This canvas of a summer tree pleased the customer who ordered it.

And this canvas below of a winter tree delighted another customer.  I suppose it all depends on whether or not your mood at the time is Fire or Ice!

“This is a maple tree in our front yard that was covered with ice. The picture was taken at night while it was snowing. It also happens to be the very first tree we planted while we were building our house. The service was excellent! The canvas turned out beautiful, and the delivery was extremely fast. Based on this experience, I plan to order 3 more photos for the other three seasons and rotate the photos on the wall.”

Now there’s a customer with a great idea!

For the next couple of days, I will convince myself that I am in the mood for ICE–after all, these canvases prove how beautiful it can be.  But come Thursday morning…bring on the FIRE and the sun and those lovely Belizean beaches!  Mom
