Proud Mom

Monday, July 19th, 2010

We just received a wonderful note that I’ve posted below from a proud Army mom.  Kimberly, thanks for writing.  It is truly our pleasure to support our troops and their families.  Tom

I have just finished reading about “Operation:  Hi Mom in Woman’s Day magazine and  just had to write to let you know that I think that it was such a wonderful idea!  I have enjoyed visiting your website and have decided that you must be very special people to not have forgotten these great American Heroes. Our son is currently in Afghanistan, proudly serving his country.  He has been deployed there for almost a year now, and we so miss his smiling face!  I can just imagine the joy that you were able to bring to those Mothers that received their soldier’s picture canvas.  I am sure that your kindness was greatly appreciated by all.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.  It is so nice of you to support the love that these soldiers and Mothers have for each other.

Sincerely, Kimberly (a proud Army mom)

Looking at Life from a Different Perspective

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

If it can be imagined, our customers have probably already snapped a picture of it.  Really!  Our staff is often amused by the uncommon images from which we create customers’ art canvases.   Below are canvases we made for two of those creative customers who obviously look at life from a different perspective.  If you have an example of the unusual, offbeat, or even the bazaar, on canvas…Mom would love to see it.

Well… I am celebrating my 1 year anniversary with my husband. I had the idea of reading Song of Solomon (I knew it was about a beloved and a lover) over the course of a couple weeks.  This was my gift back to him, because he has been such a gift in my life. You all truly did everything you could to make this happen for me. Thanks for all your help. I love what you do.  Lacy from Johnson City, Tennessee

My wife took a picture of me in front of a mural of the Mona Lisa. It was taken near my Alma Mater–Ohio State University.

The phone and online support was excellent. My wife is a professional photographer, and she found the rates were comparable to her professional clearing houses! Anthony, Livingston, NJ

Out of the Ordinary!

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

I always enjoy seeing  some of the unusual canvas images being shipped out to our customers!   Just look at this one by Greg from Austin, Texas.   At first glance, I was puzzled, then I saw the beauty in the shapes and colors.   Greg explained it to us…

The photo used for this canvas  is an interior image of the Texas State Capitol Rotunda located in Austin, Texas.    I am totally pleased with the printing and mounting job done by Canvas On Demand — and the quick turn around time. My print was a 30X40, 1.5″ Gallery Wrap and was packaged for shipping very carefully and securely. This is the second I’ve ordered from Canvas On Demand, and the second time I’ve been more than pleased with the printing, mounting, delivery, and price. Please keep up the excellent work!     Greg

Tammy – Oneonta,  AL

And check this next one out by Tammy from Oneonta, Alabama.    She took the photo at Antelope Canyon in Arizona last summer while on vacation.     “I love it,” she told us.   “I can’t believe how great this canvas looks.”

Matthew from Juneau, Alaska shared another remarkable image and his thoughts about the finished product with us.

This photo was taken of a rose I gave to my wife. When I first sent the picture in, I received an email from Canvas on Demand letting me know that the size of the frame I chose (16×20) would crop out some of the picture. They told me they would modify the size to fit the picture (16×24) free of charge. I absoutely love how the canvas turned out. It looks like a true piece of artwork. The color and appearance are fantastic. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. The enlargement I did of the photo  turned out great, however the canvas print version is truely spectacular!

Mother Nature’s Macro Details

Bill and his "subject"

Another Pro at Work!

When the folks at Canvas on Demand first saw Bill Hoddy’s fascinating image, they ask me to contact him to learn more about his work.     Bill said, “This photo is an enlargement of a Brazilian Agate, which I photographed in macro mode.   As a professional photographer, I love what Mother Nature has done with these one-of-a-kind agates.   What creative images they portray!   I photograph numerous types of beautiful agates and have them printed onto canvas, which creates very nice pieces of artwork to hang anywhere.”

This incredible image of nature at her best was an inspiration to us at Canvas on Demand.   Bill recently told us, “Most people view nature from afar in the micro mode, e.g. the Grand Canyon, a sunset on the beach, but I like what Mother Nature has to offer by exploring the macro view.    If  people take a closer look,  they will see something there that they never knew existed  in the big picture.

Bill ordered a 24″ X 36″ photorealistic canvas.   “Before I found out about Canvas on Demand, I had all my canvas printing done by a local photo shop.   I was amazed at the pricing and the quality I received from Canvas on Demand.   I now plan to use them exclusively for all my canvas prints.   To see more of Bill’s photography, visit him at www.eaglephotographyaz.com.

Bill, your canvas encourages us to look more closely at the details in our amazing world!     Mom
